Karisma patches with ex fiance Abhishek's Mom

Ever since Karishma Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan's much publicised engagement was called off in the year 2003, the Bachchans' and the Kapoors' have not been in talking terms. However, at a recent magazine award function, Karisma and Jaya Bachchan were seen hugging and bonding with each other.

Karisma and Abhishek were once the most hot couple in Bollywood. However, their romance, that lasted many years could not culminate into marriage. Since then there has been bad blood between the Kapoors' and the Bachchans'. It's not only Karisma, but also sister Kareena who avoided acting with any member of the Bachchan family.

However, all that is old story now. At a recent magazine award function held to felicitate Karisma Kapoor as style icon of the year, Karisma apparently went up to Jaya Bachchan and hugged and greeted her. If eye witnesses are to be believed, everybody was surprised to see this.

After exchanging a warm hug, Karisma even congratulated Jaya on the arrival of a baby girl in the Bachchan family. Moreover, Karisma and Jaya's tables were also placed next to each other.

It was earlier speculated that the reason behind Karisma-Abhishek split was the over interference of Abhishek's mom Jaya Bachchan.

Karisma and Abhishek were once the most hot couple in Bollywood.

Why couldn't the heading be Jayaji?! Why is she always idenitified as so and so's wife, so and so's mother and so and so's saas...she has her own identity too!
