Strip for a hit?

is it just me or has the Bollywood industry just become really desperate for a hit??

Look at all the hit item numbers (sheila ki jawani,dum maro dum, munni) Firstly the lyrics are all suggesting sex and the clothes, they are more like bits of five year old clothing stitched together in order to only cover the essentials...

Also isn't it interesting that Priyanka's first critically acclaimed movie is for "Fashion" and for Kareena it is "Omkara", in "Fashion" Priyanka character slept around with random people and Kareena's character was a prostitute...i didn't find either kareenas nor priyanka's performance mind blowing, priyanka didn''t really pull off anything new in that movie besides wearing the latest designer clothes...

Does this mean that actresses can now only claim the no1 throne by stripping off their clothes...why is it easier for the men to get the number one spot and the fact that they don't have to step out as much as their comfort zone that the women have to??? Now people are saying vidya is good actress for dirty picture, what really has made her a good actress? Her boldness in doing such a role? that is courege not acting... acting is about delivering good dialogue, emotive expressions etc...not stripping off down to undies...

Women primarily are made to strip for a hit. Because thats what boys like and they consist majority of the movie audiences unlike tele serials.

Coming to Vidya's role in TDP lets not comment till we see it. Priyanka IMO was decent acting wise in Fashion and Kareena was decent acting wise in Chameli(where she actually played a prostitute and not Omkara). But maybe these movies did make money because these two stipped. The BO fate might have been different if they would have say played nuns in these movies.

yeah priyanka was decent, but i didn't see any difference or anything special in her acting in fashion then i did in anjana anjani or dostana, the thing that made her stand out was that she was playing a daring character...same with kareena for chameli , she just played a role that many acctresses would have rejected and it seems she was just prised for her boldness rather then acting..how is it the several movies she did after this were flops, i mean you can't just improve as an acctress and then forget everything again...guess people just liked her character rather then her

^^^If they would have played nuns and done a good job acting wise they would have won the critics awards and probably National award. Regarding BO sucess...I guess not. I think in Hollywood too Oscars are some kind of a critics award thats why Meryl Strep won it. Not sure if the movie she won it for was a BO success like say Twilight series.

Heroines do it to drag boys & sex starved pervs to the theaters.😆 Its usual in BO for a long time now..
