The Star Ya Rockstar judge is all praises for Ragini Khanna even as he nit-picks on a clearly superior Chhavi Mittal -Anu Malik is at it again!
On Zee TV's Star Ya Rockstar, where he is currently the judge, Anu seems to have a strong bias towards actor Ragini Khanna while it is evident to one and all present on the sets that her closest competitor Chhavi Mittal is a clearly superior vocalist. It is becoming increasingly obvious to the fellow contestants and set insiders that in Anu's eyes, while Ragini Khanna can do no wrong, Chhavi Mittal can do not much right! Try as much as she may, Chhavi has only earned Anu's ire despite stellar reviews by Anu's co-judge Alisha, her fellow contestants and the audience.
Several sources on the sets opined, "Chhavi has consistently delivered great performances where one can see her really push the envelope and test her limits as a singer and performer. Despite this, week on week, viewers will recall that Chhavi's fantastic performance have only earned her modest scores while Ragini's mediocre renditions of relatively easier tunes have won her gushy, rave reviews and top scores! Even this week, poor Chhavi had her performance put under the scanner with each and every note being analyzed and criticized while no such treatment was meted out to anyone else. It puzzles us to no end."
Another source revealed, "No one beats Chhavi in terms of her regularity with riyaaz and the sheer effort that she puts into each of her performances. Let's hope she gets her due on the show rather than a few other over-rated non performers who seem to be stealing the show."
Well Chhavi, we certainly hear you and empathize. But what we still can't help wondering is why Anu favours Ragini so? Does he have a soft corner for the effervescent, charming actress? Well, definitely looks like!
