Aishwarya Rai's imminent admission, nurses salary

Taking advantage of the fact that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is expected to be admitted for her delivery anytime soon, the nurses of Seven Hills Hospital went on a flash strike on November 9 for three hours, forcing the management to agree to their demands.

Irked by the administration dilly-dallying on their demand for salary hike, the nurses went on the flash strike from 2 pm that day. "The management had promised us a 15% hike after we joined. But so far they have only given us 3% hike. We have been demanding that they fulfil their promises but so far nothing has happened. We, therefore, decided to go on a flash strike," said a nurse on condition of anonymity.

The management, which is under pressure to deliver high-quality health care to the Bachchan family, verbally agreed to hike their salary. The strike was called off at 5 pm. Meanwhile, the administration refused to give any information on the strike. Dr Bindu Chauhan, the spokesperson for the hospital, said, "I am not in town and have no information... ."

According to latest information, Aishwarya came to the hospital in the evening and left after a check-up.
