Chapter 1 - Going back home
The clock struck 8 and the alarm in Lily Evans' room filled the house.The preety red headed girl woke up with a start.She rubbed the sleep off her eyes just as exitement filled her.'Today is September first,I am going back home!!!'she thought happily.She dressed quickly and went down tobreakfast.
'Morning everyone',she greeted her parents,Julie and Ted Evans and her sister Petunia Evans.
'Morning Lily',her parents greeted her back.
'Petunia,how nice to see you awake so early',Lily said brightly to her horse like sister.
'Whats so suprising about that?'snapped Petunia.
'Well,its just that you never wake up before 10 AM.I expected you to be at bed',said Lily slowly,expecting trouble.
'I would have been in bed if that stupid alarm clock of yours didn't go off so loudly.Why do freaks like you need an alarm clock anyway?'Petunia replied harshly.
'PETUNIA!Your sister is here at home only for 2 months. Do you have to upset her like that even when she is at home?',Mrs.Evans said.
'Did I ask her to go to that freak school of hers??If she didn't go there she might be able to spend more time with you.'said Petunia
'Honestly,do you think I'll want to be in this place for more than 2 months?Well dream on,dear sister.Because I won't stay here even if you paid me to.And you know why,'retorted Lily letting her anger get better of her.
Mr.Evans tried to put an end to this unpleasant conversation.But Petunia was yelling back before he could even start.
'WHY IS THAT?'
'YOU KNOW WHY.'
'NO I DON'T'
'REALLY?I REMEMBER TELLING YOU WHY LAST YEAR TOO,'
'SORRY I DON'T REMEMBER.YOU SEE I HAVE BETTER THINGS THAN TO REMEMBER WHAT FREAKS LIKE YOU SAY ME.'
'OH REALLY?WELL SINCE YOU ARE MY SISTER I DON'T MIND TELLING YOU WHY.IT IS BECAUSE OF YOU.YOU AND YOUR INSUFFERABLE ATTITUDE.'
'THAT'S ENOUGH!!'said Mr.Evans cutting Petunia's reply.
'Petunia ,you are grounded.And Lily you have to try and control yourself.You both were getting onwell.Whats the matter now?You both are being rude to each other,'said Mr.Evans with an awful note of finality in his voice.
'How come dearest Lily is not getting grounded?'Petunia said trying to be polite but not
succeding to hide the coldness and anger in her voice.
'Its because of what your mother told.She is here only for 2 months and besides she is leaving today AND,'Mr.Evans raised his voice when Petunia tried to cut in,'You started this argument.Lily was polite and it was not her mistake if her alarm clock is loud.' Mr.Evans finished sending a pointed glare on Petunia.
'Fine.FINE,'said Petunia sending her plate of toast flying of the table causing the plate to break.'I am out of this freaky room!'
'Reparo,' Lily said dully pointing her wand at the broken plate,trying to hold back her tears,as the plate was once agin without even without a single scratch
'Sorry about that mom,it was because of me she is doing such things.'
'She has to learn to be good,dear.Its not your fault she's like this,'said Mr.Evans.
'Aaa,our Lily is really good at mending things,'said Mr.Evans examining the plate closely.
'Thanks dad,but thats not really difficult,'said Lily cheering up.
Her father smiled at her .He always knew how to cheer her up.
'Well then Lily are you ready to leave??'said Mrs.Evans an hour later.
They headed to Kings Cross station and made to the barrier which lead to platform 9 3/4 and Lily kissed her parents before she croseed the barrier.
'Send,Irene and Amy our greetings,'mentioning Lily's bestfriends who made her school days joyful,' and take care of yourself,'said Mrs.Evans.
She casually leaned on the barrier and came to a halt before the Hogwarts Express.And all thoughts about her house ,her parents, her sister faded from her mind and her face automaticaly twisted into a smile.
She was returning back to home at last.

'James.James.JAMES.'called Sirius Black,trying to wake his slumbering friend.But James Potter didn't stir.'OY! PRONGS!'he yelled in James' ears ,waking up the latter in a start.
'Padfoot,you idiot.I was having a romantic dream and you disturbed it!'said James angrily.
'Well if I didn't have the goodess of heart,'Sirius said as James snorted,'let me complete it ,will you?Well as I was saying,if I didn't have the goodness of heart to wake you up ,you would have been sleeping through your breakfast and more importantly you will miss the train .'
'What the heck are you...OH SHIT !!IS THAT THE TIME???'cried James and rounded up on his friend 'WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP BEFORE???'
'What do you think I've been doing for the past half hour?'retorted Sirius as James rushed into the shower.
'Well I am going to breakfast as well ,sleeping beauty,Remus and Peter are already eating,'Sirius called through the closed door.
After James breakfasted he bid goodbye to his parents,Joan and Mark Potter.
'James don't cause trouble again, one more letter from Dumbledore,I don't know what I'll do,'said Mrs.Potter, hugging the boys one by one.'And that applies to you too Sirius.And Remus keep an eye on them for me,'she addressed Remus Lupin and as she was hugging Peter Pettigrew.
'Oh Joan,they have to have fun you,know.Its their age.Well boys see you all soon,'shaking all thier hands.
After that the four Marauders apparated to Kings Cross Station.And ran through all the muggles and entered platform 9 3/4 .All the others were starting at the train fondly,while James spared the train a look and searched the crowd for a preety red head.
After all this was tradition as they were going back home.

'LILY!!!!'cried an exited voice and Lily turned around and all had Irene March in her arms.
'Irene!How good to see you again.Er...I mean how good to hug you again.Would you please let go of me so that I can see you?'said Lily
'Hi there my friends!'said another voice which both Lily and Irene even identify in their sleep.Walking towards them was Amy Locke.Their other friend.
The trio was now complete.
'Oh my gosh!You've both not changed a bit!!How can that be?'Lily said sarcastically.
'Oh well! I fancied a change.Thats why I cut my hair.Hope Sirius likes it,'said Irene who was currently dating Sirius Black.
'Did I change?How so?'asked Amy uncertainly.
'Well lets see , you've got just one change.The usual.You've grown an inch taller,'said Irene examining her friend.
'Thats not it,'said Lily,'Amy you've lost most of your many p***les!'
'Oh yeah.My mom cleared them up for me,'said Amy distractedly.
'Hey,lets get onto the train you guys,'Irene said moving to the door of the train.
'Hey I have to go to the heads compartment so meet you later guys?'said Lily.
'HEADS COMPARTMENT????'chorused Irene and Amy.'Are you the Head Girl?'
Lily nodded.
'You kept that quite!Congrats!!!'said Amy
'Yeah congrats!Wonder who is the Head Boy?'wondered Irene.
'Me too.Well save me a seat alright?See you later,'said Lily.
'Ok,'they chorused again.
Irene and Amy proceeded to find themselves a compartment as the trained started to move.
'Ohh God!Everwher is full!!!'whined Amy.
'Except this one .Its half empty.Wonder who..SIRIUS!!!'screamed Irene.
'IRENE!!'yelled Sirius.
And they dropped everything they had and brought themselves into a tight embrace.
'I missed you so much!'
'Me too'
'Quit yelling you guys!'screamed Amy trying to make herself heard in the romantic racket.
'Irene,you've changed so much,'said Sirius from a kiss which Amy thought would never end.'Cute hairstyle.'
'You like it?'asked Irene blushing slightly.
'Of Course!I love everything in you!'Sirius said stooping again to kiss her again.
'Oh Sirius!'Irene said blushing ferociously and meeting his lips.
Amy rolled her eyes and turned to see Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew with similary exasperated faces and she greeted them.
'Hi there guys!!'she said brightly.
'Hello.Noticed us at last?'asked Remus.
'Sorry with all this racket they were making...hey something is wrong in this view.Or rather something is missing,'Amy said confused.
'Or rather someone is missing,'helped Peter.
'Yeah,Hey where is James?'Amy asked.
'In the Heads compartment,'replied Remus.
There was a noise like a plunger being withdrawn from a blocked sink.
'WHAT?'Irene said suprised.
'You mean James is Head Boy?Oh God this is bad,'Amy said ploping on a seat,'Too bad.'
'Why?James is not bad you know!!'Sirius said heatedly.
'I am sure James is not bad.But the problem is the Head Girl is...'said Irene.
'Lily?'Remus said .
Amy and Irene nodded.
'Oh God!'said Remus with his hands cupped on his face.
'Great!Now he'll get a chance to conquer her heart,'Sirius said.
'I don't think so!'said Irene moodily.
'All James does is to infuriate her and crave about her to you guys and all Lily does is shout at him and fume at us,'said Amy dryly.
'You know,Amy,I think your right,'said Sirius sitting down next to Irene.
'I know I am right!'Amy snapped.
And they sat there, all expecting some kind of an explosion.

'POTTER!!!What are you doing here?You are not supposed to be here.This Compartment is just for the Head Boy and the Head Girl,'screamed Lily,'I don't want to give away dententions even before I even step into the school you know!Or do I?'Lily said with an evil glint in her eyes.
'Hello,Evans!'James greeted her amused,'Don't worry Evans,you need not give away a detention even before you step into the school.'
'Why won't I give you a detention to you Potter?Especially you!'said Lily
'Because you can't,'said James simply.
'And what makes you say that?'asked Lily sharply.'Please let it not be what I think,'she thought to herself.
'I am Head Boy,'said Jmaes grinning ,'And I see you are the Head girl!Great!!!'
'Wha..no way.I mean no one in thier right minds...I know!!'exclaimed Lily.
'You know what?'asked James rising an eyebrow.
'You stole somebody's badge!!!'said Lily who looked as if she'd wanted James to sa nothing else but a 'yes'
But...
'Nope.'
'You mean you got the letter?'Lily slumped hopelessly into a seat as if her legs were so weak that they couldn't carry her.
'Yes,'said James .
Lily looked at his hurt deep hazel eyes and at once realised how offensive she had been.
'Oh!I am so sorry James.I didn't mean to hurt you,'said Lily in a tiny voice.
But James looked awestruck.
'What?'
'Oh nothing!Lily listen we need to talk about these duties.'
'Duties?What all you are going to do is ask me out!! Nothing else,'exclaimed Lily.
'Well its parly because of that actually.Look,we have duties together.We'll need to spend a lot time with each other,'Lily groaned,'wheather you like it or not.So its high time we become friends.'
'Friends?You and me?You must be joking,'
'No,I am not joking, this one time at least,'said James and Lily still didn't look acceptable.'Oh,come on, its not that difficult.We can do it.Or rather we should do it,for the school.'
'James how can you accept me as a friend?You've been behind me for what 5 years?And everytime you've asked me out or even had a simple conversation have I ever been civil with you?No.And more over I can't be friends with anyone who asks me out every single wild day!!'
'If you become my friend,I promise,I'll stop asking you out everyday.But I won't stop it,like I can't stop loving you.Alright?I might not ask you out often but just once in a while ok?'James finished looking expectantly at Lily's direction.
'Oh... Alright.'Lily gave up smiling.
'YES!!!'
'But the promise..'
'Won't be broken.I swear.'
'Good.'
Then the newly made friends left the Head's Compartment and went to the Prefects Compartment and instructed them as to what they should do.
Then both of them left to find their friends.When the found them they were suprised both their close friends were in the same compartment.When Lily was just entering in Jmaes pulled her by hand and looking to her pond like emarald eyes he smiled and muttered a 'Thanks for Everything.'and entered the compartment,leaving Lily frozen to the spot.
She felt odd.When Lily looked into those deep hazel eyes she felt something,something inside her burned with desire.Something inside her wanted to look at it for ages together.And when he touched her,she melted.What was happening?Was she..?
Before she could think more,she was pulled into the compartment by Amy and Irene.
