So while I don't think Guddu represents Krishna in any sense, I like Jabbo's allusion to Runjhun as Rukmani and Neelu as Radha.

Neelu fits as Radha who loves Guddu but knows that she can never have him and will continue to pine for his love & Runjhun as Rukmani the one who love Guddu with all her heart and is married to him. I know they're not exact representations character wise but the parallel drawn today gives hope of the alliance that they share and simple commonality that they both love Guddu truly.

I know there are many doubts surrounding Neelu's character but Neelu provides the bridge between Guddu and Runjhun because as a friend she understands where Guddu is coming from and as a woman and someone who loves Guddu she knows where Runjhun is coming from.

She can see both sides and can sympathize with both sides and as she cleared today neither of them was truly at fault...yes yes I can hear people protesting already...how could Runjhun leave Guddu and go against his wishes for her mamas and mamis? How could Guddu be so nasty to Runjhun, and he was the one who kicked her out? The forum was divided into two sides The Runjhun vs. Guddu...

That is why Neelu is so important...and no I do not believe she is a negative character...I will be disappointed if she is painted as such...she sees both sides and makes no judgement...she genuinely wants to help both of them because she wants Guddu to be happy and his happiness does lie with Runjhun...

What struck me was that Guddu and Runjhun still have insecurities regarding their love for each other. Runjhun feels that she is no longer in Guddu's life...and Guddu feels like Runjhun loves her aunts and uncles more than Runjhun...neither is true...and it makes me wonder that maybe the end result of this will allow them to voice their insecurities...because in all honesty while they've declared their love neither of them ever truly faces their insecurities...

So hopefully Radha and Rukmani together will bring both Runjhun and Guddu together and let them face each other and all their doubts and fears...

Nice post Wafah. The thing which really bothers me is the anger G has does not seem proportionate to the crime committed. I still think R was not wrong in the act of feeding the M&M but wrong about hiding it. But to me when given ultimatum to leave the house, no self respecting person would be able to take that. As for G he makes tall claims that he has changed which I think is only external but from inside he is the same where anything he does is OK when someone does something he does not like or agree with. Even to the extent of hurting your own dear ones deeply. Sorry, I know you are asking not to take sided but I was on G's side for a long time believe it or not even before his love confession. He seemed to be the stronger character than R until this fiasco. But leaving that part aside even though I am not going to judge Neelu - bad or good (I have my doubts), I am not exactly thrilled that R & G need a third person to intervene to help their relation. I know J called them Radha and Rukmini but in my opinion I would want them to be present in different phases of life and would have been best if the twain never met like the original Rahda & Rukmini.

A very nice post Thanks Wafa for bringing new discussions in the forum.

Yes I agree to that both of them did wrong. Runjhun did not waited or gave time to her mama mamis to come to their own rescue. It will result that everytime she will try to make home with Guddu they will come in full force to break her marriage.

Guddu was wrong in not understanding her worry about her cousins since the time lost in this age will be a major loss in the growth development and other opportunities being present for them.

The time was not right.
Guddu was angry and Runjhun was showing attempts to please Guddu so that he starts talking to her. Guddu was angry and seeing Runjhuns attempt was both suspicious and under the impression that now she will stay beside him if he made her choose.
At the same time since up till now Guddu has always relented to Runjhuns requests due to his love she thought that he is not going to be stubborn and she can make him change his mind later.

I would just say so... In a relationship to make it work sometimes we have to relent or step back. Guddu did that at quite a few occaisions. Guddu has seen his parent well functional married life. Runjhun has only seen disfunctional married life at PN there she has seen her mamas always relenting to their wifes and so she goese from what she has leaned from the home she has been brought up in.

Wafah, excellent post, that said I did not like Jabbu alluding to Neelu as Radha. Mythology shows Krishna's and Radha's love to be the ideal kind of love - that is not how I personally want to see Guddu and Neelu - yes, there are various interpretations of Radha's love for Krishna, it is the soul pining for the love of the divine, she is older than him and almost a sister (cousin of sorts) and so there never was any kind of girl/boy love that she held for him, etc. But, folklore for the most part forgets all this and the love of Radha and Krishna has been idealized as "true love". Hence, my reason for not liking this comparison of Jabbu's, thank god he at least didn't say Rukmini and Sathyabhama!!
Selfishly, I want Guddu all for Runjhun and Runjhun alone, yes, you asked us very sweetly not to take sides but hard not to 😉 when these 2 characters have entered our lives and live with us through our imaginations. Runjhun was wrong but the extent of the punishment being meted out by Guddu is not fair and is extreme. He is a grown man behaving like an overgrown child. (Love Himanshoo and Nivi, don't mistake me, talking here about their characters only).
If a hubby needs the help of someone else to right a marriage - that does not forebode any good- love needs to conquer all, not with outside help but only by the parties concerned themselves though that may be too romanitcized a view of love 😃

Your could be absolutely right Wafah when you mentioned that Runjhun and Neelu are portraying Rukmini and Radha and Guddu, Vishnu.

LOL I agree with you. I wouldn't want to compare the love of Radha and Krishna to Guddu and Neelu hence I said said Guddu is no Krishna. I think form Neelu's point of view it is very similar to Radha as she will most probably pine for her love, and in that sense I do hope she finds someone...

I don't think Guddu and Runjhun need help from outside to right their marriage but sometimes when two people are being stubborn, family can make matters worse rather than have a a their unaffected party point them in the right direction. If they don't communicate properly then they won't be able to right their marriage. This brings them in communication distance...
I've always felt that while Guddu and Runjhun talk...they sometimes fail to communicate...and each time they get closer to it...every time they fight something more is revealed about each other to them
