why would Veer give a 4 year old a gun? Isn't there enough violence in the world without encouraging kids to play with guns?

there are more violence in this serial which can affect kids.leave this is just a toy.thank god for not giving idea to CVS giving real gun to khana

He gave a gun to encourage him to become a police officer i know it sounds mental...

lol, we watch this cartoon shows where they use swords and all , giving toy gun to kid is not wrong yaar ... depends on kid , if he wants to play police or thief with it

I don't know...this is something I worry about with my kids...the guns are so prevalent that eventually they will be exposed to them in school.

But I worry, that by giving him a toy gun, won't I be giving a tacit approval for the gun culture, and saying that its ok to be violent?

I suppose a similar case can be made about stereotyping girls with dolls...

True...but we also have the power to shape the discourse towards empowerment of women and reinforcing a less violent macho stereotype of men...

That way we can be ourselves without always playing gender roles in our relationships...
