Consistent and 'same' aren't the same thing. Change can be consistent. Let's say a student is improving his marks by scoring exactly +10 in every exam. Let's say he scored 50 in the first exam, 60 in the second, 70 in the third, and so on. In that case, his improvement or change is consistent - as his scores aren't fluctuating, but is going up at a steady rate. So there could be consistent change and there could be inconsistent change. Consistent change would be predictable and 'steady' in some form. Inconsistent change would be unpredictable and random. Or maybe I did not get whatever you - Cloddy - was trying to imply? 😆
We were simply trying to point out how seemingly opposite end or polarities appear to be interdependent and influence each other to achieve an outcome. For eg for the passage of time you would need both day and night , and not just one of the two. To get electricity to flow you need both positive and negative terminals of a cell. One by itself wouldn't do! Similarly though "change" and "consistency" appear to be antonyms; to achieve any significant change one would have to work consistently to achieve that change. Hope I was able to clarify! 😆

It is also important that the desire to change is from within and not imposed or else we could end up echoing these sentiments by Lobo-

well, I do like this song . It should remind us to accept people for who they are without trying to change them too much.
