God often sends you a blessing in disguise when you need it the most and this happened to one of the most popular television actors, Karan Singh Grover.
The creative team of Dil Dostii Dance were having a tough time trying to zero down on the face that could play the role of a student counselor for the young guns at St. Louis (college). A number of dancers, choreographers, models and some big names from the industry were auditioned but in vain. The team had almost lost hope of finding the suitable actor and had almost lowered their expectations. However, their hard work paid off at the last minute in the form of the handsome hunk, Karan Singh Grover.
Apparently, Grover visited the sets of the show to meet his friends who have previously worked with him in Dill Mill Gayye. The young actors Shakti (Kria), Sneha (Sharon) and Alisha (Neha) went weak in their knees on seeing him! Seeing the sudden excitement amongst the young girls, the idea of Karan playing the role of the counselor sprung up! His friend and the creative director of the show, casually asked him the next day if he would like to play a small role in the show and the hottie agreed without even inquiring about his role. So much for friends and fans.
