Geet heard about Maan being caught with a girl but she put it down to the fact he didn't love her anyway. "Di your not still upset are you over Maan?" asked a concerned Sonam.

"Well Geet should stop living in her cuckoo land and believe that Maan Singh Khurana the bad boy does not love her" said a bitchy Nisha.

"Nisha how dare you speak to Geet Di like that, have some compassion"..argued Sanjay.

"Its okay Sanjay Nisha is right I should forget about him".

Geet knew it would be hard for her but she felt so hurt and betrayed. She began keeping herself busy with uni and her part time job. Pinky made sure Geet remained happy and distracted. Six months had passed and her father Raam had gone to see his ailing mother in India and was returning. Deena Maan's father was also coming back on the same flight.

Geet was happy having her father coming back. She had missed him so much. She began preparing for his favourite biryani and kebabs. Suddenly the phone rang. She picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Hello". She paused it was Maan.

"Listen what time is the flight as Your dad and my dad are coming together".

"I think in a couple of hours but I'm not sure only Sanjay can tell but he's not home yet".

"Okay how are you?"

Geet felt a lump in her throat. She felt gutted when he asked that. What does he expect her to feel of the countless rejection and him being unfaithful with her. She was not in a proper relationship but they were contemplating of getting married.

She managed a little. "I'm ok".

She knew he wanted her to proceed further with conversation but she was sounding hurt and slightly angry but not quite able to express her hurt or anger.

"Listen Geet I need to go but ring me in the morning some time..take care bye".

She put the phone down and first felt hurt that after 6 months he had contacted her but still he gave no explanation of his appalling behaviour. In some ways it felt he did really care and maybe just maybe he did really care for her. Sonam entered the kitchen and saw a sullen Geet.

"Di kya baat hain?"

"Sonam wo Maan rang me". She told her the whole conversation. Sonam was feeling afraid that Geet will get confused with all the emotions and feeling she had for Maan. She rang Adi and asked Maan's number.

Sonam: Maan I rang you to ask you why you playing games with Geet?

Maan: how am I playing games with her?

Sonam: she has just started to piece her life together and you ring her to confuse her. I mean what happened with you being caught was the last straw.

Maan: that wasn't my fault. Susan was my friend and she got drunk so I brought her home like a good Samaritan thats it. I adore Geet.

Sonam was actually impressed with what Maan told her and he seemed sober enough. He was talking intelligently. She went back and told her what he had said. Geet got in a huff.

"Well if I was caught with a boy he would never look at me so why should I?"

She left it at that and pushed it behind to concentrate on her 2^nd year of studies.

The Khurana and Handa family were invited to a wedding. Geet, Nisha and Sonam were excited as it was the wedding of a family friend . Geet wore a sky blue chooridar dress. She braided her hair from the front and put minimal makeup. Maan was not one for wedding's but he only attended this one to get a glimpse of Geet. Maan wore a black kurta pajama. He was looking extremely hot. Geet picking one of the babies and she felt someone looking at her. She looked to her right and saw Maan standing there drooling and checking her out. She looked away ignoring his eyes.

"Bro your eyeing Geet too much CON-trol"

"Adi after a long time I seen her...do you think I should go up and talk to her?"

"Of course bro but be a bit tactful". Maan was about to come close that Ali Zafar entered.

He began singing around Geet.

Geet realised that Ali Zafar was singing about her. she looked at Maan and he seemed pretty irritated by this attention she was getting.

Maan made a fist and was about to charge at him but Adi stopped him.

Geet began knotting her dupatta but Ali carried on trying to win her over.

He finished singing and came near Geet to talk to her. Maan stood there helpless but annoyed that Geet did not discourage him. Maan knew he had to do something.

Maan went home and began doing tai chi to take his frustrations out. He knew he had to do something.

*I have to make Geet mine...I can't let anyone take her away from me..she is mine only mine...but what can I do? I know I will talk to mother back home. I will ring her tomorrow morning*

He had a determined look on his face with a slight smirk.
