I donno about that. I disagree with you.
My opinion:
This is an Indian drama with Indian values. It is the mothers job to teach her daughter what is right and what is wrong. And Jai is the head of the household..since it is his house. And I applaud Bani for doing what she did to save her "families" honor. She took Jai's scolding which many people wouldnt take.
hey! the issue you've raised is pretty cool coz i actually disagree coz i mean values are just like...things you've learnt in life that help you make moral decisions right? but i dont think you have to overlook your happiness, and make sacrifices to be a moral person. i mean people who stand up for themselves are just as moral. i mean i think ekta kapoor's shows are more often than not, very regressive i mean one thing jai said pissed me off-he said jigz is the homemaker and its her fault that anu did what she did and he said aditya's negligence is justifiable because "he was busy with the business" i mean i think that was such a sexist statement. i mean as parents, both are equally responsible for their children, not just the mother. and bani, i think what she did same quite pointless, it created more tension. i mean she should have told jai atleast because she does not have any right to like make decisions, she is not even related to anu or responsible for her, so by hiding it she just compounded the problem, i feel.
BUT :) i respect your views and i guess we can agree to disagree :D lolzzzz
