i loved ashwini's acting and she made me cry with her dialogues. it goes to show that indeed jigs always used to pay attention to anu and treat her well and stuff. it wasnt like she always ignored anu. and besides i do think anu is the only person to blame for her situation since no one forced her to do what she did. and i thought jai had NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER to solely just blame jigs that much! i honestly think it's none of his damn business. and well it was pretty sad in my opinion esp since jai never EVER seemed to care about jigs at all which always pissed me off. yea but it is pretty stupid of jigs to leave anu in this situation and flee although jai deserves to apologize to her in my opinion. I TOTALLY AGREE WITH JIGS THAT BANI HAD NO RIGHT TO INTERFERE EVEN IF IT WAS TO SAVE THE REPUTATION OF THE FAMILY SINCE TRUTH WAS EVENTUALLY GOING TO COME OUT ANYWAY! i think she's waaaaaaaaaaaay tooo intrusive! she's the epitome of a buttinski! 😡

I donno about that. I disagree with you.
My opinion:
This is an Indian drama with Indian values. It is the mothers job to teach her daughter what is right and what is wrong. And Jai is the head of the household..since it is his house. And I applaud Bani for doing what she did to save her "families" honor. She took Jai's scolding which many people wouldnt take.

hey! the issue you've raised is pretty cool coz i actually disagree coz i mean values are just like...things you've learnt in life that help you make moral decisions right? but i dont think you have to overlook your happiness, and make sacrifices to be a moral person. i mean people who stand up for themselves are just as moral. i mean i think ekta kapoor's shows are more often than not, very regressive i mean one thing jai said pissed me off-he said jigz is the homemaker and its her fault that anu did what she did and he said aditya's negligence is justifiable because "he was busy with the business" i mean i think that was such a sexist statement. i mean as parents, both are equally responsible for their children, not just the mother. and bani, i think what she did same quite pointless, it created more tension. i mean she should have told jai atleast because she does not have any right to like make decisions, she is not even related to anu or responsible for her, so by hiding it she just compounded the problem, i feel.

BUT :) i respect your views and i guess we can agree to disagree :D lolzzzz

If you see only from mother's POV only, Jigs is correct.

But, if you see the way she reacted it is completely accepted that she had indirectly called all bad names (do you know the father of the child, who is it, is it a driver, a gardener, or is it our servant, where will you deliver the sin, here or in Mt.Abu, etc) for her own daughter, which hurt her the most. If Bani was an outsider and did not have any right in the house or family, what right did Jigs have to insult Bani with such filthy words? When it came to her daughter who had erred, how did Bani become an outsider? Jigs reacted the way she did because, she realized, what all filthy words she had used for Bani and in return, they all implied to her own daughter, which she was unable to digest!

It is a simple taste of life. When you insult somebody you will enjoy. But when it is your turn to be insulted, it hurts even more, because, you will feel the pain in multiple folds (you have insulted yourself and the guilt of insulting somebody in the same position multiplies itself).

Being a mother she might have cried. But, Bani is also somebody's daughter, Rano is also somebody's daughter, her daughter Anu will also become a mother very soon. Jaise karni, waise Bharni.

The problem arises in a family, when the daughter in law is treated as an outsider and is termed as "do not have any right". Arre yaar, whatever way she got married, or whatever happens in future, Bani is legally owner of the house, bcos she is still Jai's (head of the household) legally wedded wife. Infact, Jigs is staying in her brother's house. Bani is staying in her own house with full legal right. Yes, when it is Anu's personal life, Bani does not have any right. But, when the member of the family is in trouble, everybody will pitch-in in the joint family. Bani did not force Anu to go for abortion, but she just enquired about it.

If you blame that Bani did not tell the fact about Anu to Jai, Jai is also to be blamed for having a fact (Park Road secret) probably related to Bani's mom hidden from Bani earlier than this pregnancy issue.

well to tell you the truth, jai was so right to tell jigz that she couldn't raise her kids right!! and it is jigz fault!! bani actually did jigz a favor by taking the blame on her and you are saying that she shouldn't interfere; if bani wouldn't have took this step at that time, then everyone would've come to know about anu' preg. When anu did wanted to tell jigz about her preg. she ingnored her and she only was worried about bani being kicked out of this house! so i wouldn't even blame bani for helping out anu!! Bani consideres anu as her sister and she did whatever she had too!!but today, i really liked jigz acting!! i always liked jigz acting though, i mean she can present very good performances!! as far as her character is concerned, she always thinks about herself and her happiness and to tell you the truth sometimes i find her selfish, but whatever and whenever she did something, she always has her own motive in it!! i was disappointed today because i thought after today, jigz might understand that bani did this for anu and jai's rep. I mean the kind of lecture she gave bani, was so stabbing, but bani still kept quiet!! but then agian, i felt sorry for her when she cried!! and to tell you the truth, she is paying for her own mistakes!! this is only my opinion!!

cheers

yea i still think bani had no right to interfere. if it is a joint family then EVERYONE should help out not just one person. and i agree that if i am a mother and my daughter gets pregnant i would want her to tell me before anyone else and if anyone else butted into the situation i would be damn upset. agreed bani was only trying to help but sometimes you seriously gotta butt out especially in situations this delicate! it hurts like hell when your loved ones go to others before coming to you. so i completely sympathesize with jigyasa's outburst.

I don't think it was a sexist comment. He did not say she should not have worked and raised her kid right, he said since she has taken the responsibility of being the homemaker and raising kids, imparting the family values is part of raising kids and hence Jigs had larger share of the responsibility in how anu turned out. He did not excuse Aditya, he said, he could understand how anu's behaviours may have escaped his eye due to his business related responsibilities. I agree it is both parents' responsibility and Jai said that first that Jigs and Aditya were too focused on their own problems and fights and hence Anu slipped.
Having been a parent who has struggled with marriage problems and raising kids at the same time as all real people do, believe me, it is SO easy to get carried away with your personal problems and only waking up when the kids start acting out. Jigs unfortunately is not a good parent three kids and the only one who is shaping up normally is the kid Sahil and that too only after he is being influenced by puppylove. Just for the record, a parents job is not to be their kid's friend but being a parent, that laying the boundries and saying NO at appropriate times even at the risk of pissing off your kids.
