From the promo of this serial so far, it looks like the theme of this serial is 2 girls who are robbed of their childhood by being thrown into the publicity arena. What they gain in fame and earnings for their parents, they lose in innocence.

One thing that struck me - to what extent is this true about the child actors involved? One of them - Jannat Rahmani - is now on her 3rd major show (first 2 being Kashi & Phulwa), and in the second of the 2, she even underwent a child marriage in the show. Does she even know any more what it is to be a kid, or is she like any starry-eyed celebrity - overtaken by all the publicity? I'm assuming that she does do school, but aside from that, when you are playing roles like the ones she's played, how credible is it to claim that she no longer has a childhood, in the real sense of the term? Meaning doing the same sort of things kids her age do, playing the same games kids her age play, and so on?

Note that these questions don't just apply to Jannat, but to the other kid as well. Although it seems this may be the first show for the latter. But are they in real life living what they're about to portray in this serial - kids doing the heavy lifting for their parents?

I don't think Jannat has lost her childhood yet. She is good actress for her age, and I think she wants to be an actress when she grows up. If you watch some of her interviews during her Phulwa days, she used to go parks and play pranks on the directors and such. And I'm sure she does have a play time when she's at home.

I also think Jannat is special case when it comes to the children who they are trying to portray in the show. She herself has said that she wants to be an actress when she's older and her dad has supported her during her earlier shows. Given her dreams, her parents should know where her priorities lie, which is education. Most kids who are the television industry usually don't go to school, which is wrong. Education is a must (at least till high school).

If Jannat continues to get show offers, then I think she would be losing her childhood, given the amount of hours she has to work. Directors should not make the kids work more than 3-4 hours (not even that much- maybe just 2-3 hours would be enough), that too with frequent breaks. If they want to get the show on air within a specific date, then they should start shooting earlier.

Coming to the new comer, so far, she is doing a good job as far as acting goes. And I think in the near future, she might be getting new roles as well. But as said earlier, it depends the amount of work they have to do at the end of the day.

In general, I think it's hard to say if both the girls' lives are the same (or even similar) to their characters, but who knows, maybe in the future it might be true.

It is definitely a delicate topic
what with all the irony involved,,,,
I being a viewer, love to see Jannat perform onscreen,,,
she does such an excellent job that, we fail to notice the hardwork behind it,,
but one mustn't discourage a talent like her's,,,

I really don't know what to say regarding this matter,,

a very gr8 topic, as much as i feel todays child artists are extremely talented and do an amazing job with their roles be it in dramas or movies, i feel it does deprive them of a normal life, i recall prachi desai who was 17 when she 1st started off in this industry and she sed she used 2 cry n feel upset wen she saw hw much girls her age used 2 do masti while she had to work, obv it was her own choice etc bt come on she was 17 n felt tht, wonder wt these child artists feel. another thing which gts 2 me is hw do these kids balance their work and education. education is so important, and m sure their long work hours wud affect it big time. im totally against child labour, i feel children shudnt b deprived their rights of living their childhood, be it a child begging on the streets or a child working in a daily show on TV, its stil child labour jus in a dif context...stil shudnt happen...
