Lovely post, Sumi ... good to see you posting again! And hope you're feeling better now.
I loved that scene ... I always love Sanaya in emotional scenes, they're really her forte ... I loved the first bit when she was just sitting next to her Babuji as though scared to even let him out of her sight, and remembering Arnav's words about cremating your parents ... and then her fear later with Payal - finally she was able to express it to Payal, that ever-present fear she has of being left alone again ... and for once, Payal was actually supportive.
Those words of hers were really so heartrending ... if I lose Amma or babuji or you, hum kho jayenge ... her fear of losing parents a second time around ... she just won't be able to take it ... for any child, a one time loss is traumatic enough, and she has been lucky enough to get a second set of loving parents, losing either of them will be just devastating for her. And again, I see the insecure child, worried that if she does something wrong, or is unworthy in some way, her parents will be taken away ... again an explanation for her always being the one to take on all the burdens of the house and support?
and I think this will play a HUGE role in the next stage of the story when her babuji has a heart attack ... for her babuji, her family, she can do just about
anything ... and not count the cost to herself at all.
I just wish, though, that Khushi would want to talk to the doctor herself, and not leave everything to Slimeball Shyam, like the rest of the family tends to do 🤢
And again, I also loved Khushi in the phone convo with Arnav brandishing her karchi ... she is simply adorable ... ASR ki bolti band kar di! 😆 Sanaya does a FAB job as Khushi ... I love all the shades that are slowly emerging in Khushi!
Agree with you and Aanchal ... i liked the earlier actress who was Khushi's mother better, she had the accent and the language down pat, and was more mature ... this one is too young looking and not such a strong personality somehow.
