Update for Tuesday, August 9, 2011:

A lawyer named Kavitha is arguing a case for Vigneshwara Medical Foundation against a Mr. Nataraj, who was admitted for heart problems and his condition deteriorated, and has now sued the hospital for his health getting worse because of improper treatment given there. As it turned out, Nataraj has been suffering from cirrhosis of the liver but did not inform the doctors at VMF because he would not have been covered by insurance, so this was a deliberate deception, not caused by negligence on the part of the hospital. The case is dismissed.

Akash is reading about this case, and he calls Anand into his cabin. He tells Anand that he wishes to appoint this Kavitha as legal counsel for the hospital since their present lawyer is getting old and doesn't want to do any more legal work. Anand is startled to see this Kavitha's face on the screen, and suggests some other name, but Akash is very keen on appointing Kavitha, so he leaves it to Akash. After he leaves Akash's cabin, he is sweating profusely. Akash sees him, asks what the matter is, and he gives some other reason, and leaves the place.

Kavitha comes to Akash's cabin; he talks to her and calls Anand to his room. Anand comes in, both he and Kavitha are surprised to see each other, but they compose themselves. Akash introduces them, and tells Anand he has decided to appoint Kavitha as the legal counsel and asks Anand if he has any questions. Anand at first says he has no questions, and then on Akash's insistence, he asks Kavitha if she has any family in Chennai, specifically, if she has a husband and children. She says she is separated from her husband and lives with her daughter, and then asks if this is not unnecessary. Anand agrees with her and stops his questioning.

Rathy and Naren at the beach. Rathy wants to know what it is that Naren is hiding from her, she asks if he is still brooding over the way he was treated after her SIL's medical problems at the hospital, he says, No. Then she wants to know if any doctor hurt his feelings, and he says, No, again. Then she asks if it is Prem Kumar, and he gets angry, and says he wants to leave the place for a month and go somewhere and rest. When Rathy tells him he can do that if he wishes, he asks if she is trying to get rid of him. She is surprised at his behavior, but when she comments on it, he gets furious and asks her to leave. She is puzzled by his behavior and leaves. He closes his eyes and leans back against the boat, thinking. A pair of black shoes, worn by someone in white pants, is shown walking on the beach and approaching (what's the bet? It has to be Prem Kumar!).

Update for Thurs, Aug 11, 2011:

Vidhya is writing in her diary. She writes about her father seeing her mother accidentally at the hospital, she wonders if her mother remembers her name after fifteen years, wonders how she looks, does she always think of her daughter. Was she happy when she saw her husband after so many years, what was Vidhya's crime that she did not contact this daughter in all these years? kasi calls her to breakfast, says dad left without eating. She goes down and sits down to eat, listening to the Yesudas song, Ammavai vaNangaadha uyir illaiye, says that a song appeals when the listener is in the right mood. Kasi says he always thinks of his mother when he hears that song. He feels sorry for Vidhya who has been separated from her mother for fifteen years, but Vidya says that everyone doesn't get everything, some children don't get education, she didn't get a mother. But she has forgotten her mother's face now.

Vidya tells Kasi that her mother is in Chennai now, she wonders if she may have passed her mother somewhere in some mall, but she doesn't know what her mother looks like. Kasi says he will talk to her father about this, and to let her meet and talk with her mother. Vidhya tells Kasi not to do that, she can talk to her mother if she wants, but she is not going to hurt her father. She is sure he will take her to her mother one day.

Kavitha is signing the papers in Akash's office. He wants to set up an introduction party to introduce her to the board members. He also asks her to go and sign some papers in Anand's office. She signs the papers, while Anand tells her that he had been so peaceful for the last fifteen years, why has she come to ruin it? He gave hints to Akash not to hire her, but when she saw him, she should have refused to work here, even after his hints to her that he did not want her here. He tells her not to come to his room often, trying to change his mind. Kavitha says she doesn't want to talk about the past, asks about Vidhya. He says Vidhya is happy, he has raised her without letting Kavitha's shadow come over her. She says Priya is also happy. Someone comes in and asks her for her initial, she says her name is just Kavitha. Someone comes in with coffee, Anand says to get tea for her (obviously he still remembers - I see shades of the scene from Aandhi). She asks him if he is still thinking of her, he says he wants to forget the past. She says she has no desire to bring up the past, thanks him and leaves.

Annoying - PK goes up to Naren at the beach, says he came there, saw him and came to talk to him. He wants to know why Naren is alone, why he didn't come with his kadhali, Rathy. Naren says she will come, but PK says, No, she is in surgery now, then she has a meeting with another doctor at 7:30. I know her schedule, you both met here yesterday, you were looking at the waves, then you were quiet, then you had an argument and she left. i was watching all this from nearby, but did not interrupt. I am a 24 hours follower. He tells Naren that he will always follow him like a shadow, and wants to know why he hasn't yet let go of Rathy. Is the ten crores not enough? Do you need twenty? Did Rathy get angry because you told her to forget you? You can tell her how I am prepared to pay you the large amount, she should know I am prepared to give up anything for her. Come to a decision soon, just do it soon, but don't take too long, or you wont' get anything. He gets a call from someone, and tells them, If they say Yes, let him off, if he says, No, then Vettu. Then he hangs up, and leaves. Naren is left, miserable and upset.

Why is this serial also going the way of all the other serials? I had better hopes here.

Update for Tues, Aug 16, 2011:

I am going to be brief. This episode was annoying, and you will see why - I am tired of seeing the same old villainous characters, spreading lies and gossip all the time. When I watch a serial, I would like some relief from my every day routine and problems, not see more of the same.

Jeevan has been removed from ICU and sent back to his room. The doctor calls Manasi and tells her that he is doing well, and with complete rest, he should be fully recovered soon, after which he will be discharged.

The word is spreading around the hospital that there is a terrorist in the hospital.

Adarsh comes home, calls for Devi. She says she has made some changes in the decor, he is unable to find the changes, turns out she has changed the photos and replaced them with other photos (this is life, I would rather see such pleasant scenes than these scheming people).

Shyamala is observing some vratam on Thursdays. MIL is scolding her for doing all this, when the front doorbell rings (aha, one locked door!). The visitor is Ezhil, who has come for Akash. She gets a warm welcome from Sandhya and Shyamala, and then she goes upstairs, where Devi is sitting. Devi asks who she is, Ezhil says she is PK's secretary and has heard a lot about Devi. Akash comes in, she hands over the file to Akash. It is regarding some show of medical equipment, and Akash praises PK sky high over his devotion to the hospital and his work. Devi looks skeptical.

Ezhil comes downstairs, Sandhya asks her to sit, and then inquires about her family. Then she wants to know if her father has started looking out for varans for her, and Ezhil does this major crying act. Shyamala guesses she is in love with someone else, and asks if her father is opposed. Ezhil says No, so Shyamala and Sandhya want to know who it is, and Ezhil says she fell in love with a bad person who has cheated her. Sandhya says that she is also like a daughter to her, just like Rathy (and just as Naren's parents spouted this dialog to PK and then fell hook, line and sinker for his stories about Naren, here is a similar opportunity to Ezhil). She says it is someone known to them, and then she says the name, Naren. Obviously, both Sandhya and Shyamala are shocked. Ezhil spins a long story about how she and Naren were so much in love, she used to go to his house often, take food for him, wash his clothes, and has even spent nights there (yuck! Is there no end to this kind of disgusting stuff?) She talks of how even Naren's parents like her so much, but Naren preferred Rathy so that he could become the MD of the hospital, and when she asked him about it, he said that getting married to Rathy was for the position. Sandhya thinks of all the incidents in the past and is concerned.

Mythili's Beauty Parlour ' in this serial it is owned by Vidhya '[ Anand/Kavitha's daughter-staying with Anand]. Priya [ The daughter staying with Kavitha] comes for there for facial , introduces self as Konika [why this name change???]. Since had come 15 minutes earlier had to wait in the reception , throws a bit of a tantrum [ like father like daughter], complains about the AC , talks loudly on the phone , receptionist gets irritated , asks her to tone down her voice. Next Priya [[or konica?] starts capturing the pictures in the room on her mobile for which also gets cautioned by the receptionist , gets into verbal war with the receptionist . One Anjali walks in & Vidhya gives her priority over Priya. Thats it . Priya vidu vidunu goes inside & vedu vedunu veLuthufy . Vidhya tries to explain patiently , falls in to deaf ears & livid Priya walks out of the parlour after giving dressing down to Priya.

Akash in sallaba mood ' singing Pon MahaL VandaaL [ Akash sir nanna paadareenga but you require brushing up of la & La . The beauty of the song is distorted with 'il' in the place of 'iL']. Devi says Thanks. Aksh asks why thanks for stopping the music ? No no says Devi , you sing very well but only you should hear it. Thanks is for calling me Pon magaL. Akash quips , what about the next sentence ' PoruL kodi thandaaL ? Where did you give me the crore? Devi says ' you are a priceless person , so have given myself fully to you. Poor couple this sallabam is short lived. Their tug of war starts on the dining table ' Devi wants Akash to change his dress , wear the one she selected for him. Akash not amused , gets irritated with her over powering nature , interfering in his personal tastes , tells her point blank ' doesn't like her dominating him. Devi says -not dominating just concern .The fight intensifies ' Akash feels he has taken a hasty decision in tying the knot , openly admits it , complains that Devi is not the old Devi whom he used to adore during their courtship period. Devi is shocked , but ultimately has her way , makes Akash change his shirt. Tells him not to fight unnecessarily lest their marriage tie will break. Akash throws the [neck]tie on her face ' symbolic gesture.

Shanthi Nilayam . The hospital is buzz with the rumour of a terrorist admission. Patients want the ward change or discharge , each one sees the other as a terrorist- who is the terrorist , - Ivano , Avano , illai avaLo- all move around with the same doubt , be it a patient or a visitor or a ward boy or the nurse.

Rathi & Naren sitting in the beach. Rathi asks Naren why sitting like a mouna samiyar ? Naren narrates his fear , PK must be following them , to his dismay sees a person sitting behind a boat and watching them , suspects him to be PK's man [ arandavan kaNNukku irundathellam pei]. Further tells Rathi , is unable to bear PK's torture , feels like running away from everything & everybody.Now wants only peace of mind. Rathi is hurt. Feels Naren is paranoid , unnecessarily scared of PK , tells he needs psychiatric counselling , couple of sittings will do him good , feels he has mental depression. Naren gets wild hearing the word mental depression , it triggers off his telephonic conversation with PK -blackmailing Naren threatening to make people talk about his mental depression.'[ Come on Naren , Don't back out. MuLLa MuLLala edu. Resort to same suave villathanam.]

Monday - Twins get to know each other??

Sorry about the delay - as usual Techsatish has missed the first segment - I saw in bits and pieces - busy dosai vaarthings !!!! Will update this afternoon. In the meanwhile, any one saw the first segment??

Aanand is having breakfast Kaasi is making dosas - and sings - Aanand complains that
Kaasi is too slow making dosas " muthal dosai digest aana appram second one??" Daughter comes and chases Kaasi "seekiram" - then tells her father about the parlor incident " that girl is also like you appa, absolutely no patience . I had to do make up for my friend Anjali as she had to go for a reception. And so made her wait a bit . Athukku enna AaBaattam??" Dad says that the fault lies with her - " you should not ignore a customer , so she is right " Kaasi threatens her saying that the girl may take revenge... " Uruttukattai vaichu adichida pOraa " The other side - Konica (athu enna peru??) is livid. Kavitha probes. The parlor issue gets discussed again. Tells mommy that she plans to sue the parlor owner "amma, nee thaan enakku advocate " kavitha says that some little patience is a virtue. Of course it falls on deaf ears. Kavitha says that some times the judge gets annoyed with such PL cases " makkalukku sagippu thanmai kOrainji pOchu " Konica padaal nnu asks " appo, unakku yen antha sagippu thanmai illai?? Hubby kitte?? POruthu pOi irukkalaame " Kavitha has no answer - apram some sms joke transaction between mom and daughter.

Intha PK thollai thaangalai - avarukku Odambu sari illaiyaam - Rathy kaiyai pidichu paarthu medicine kuduthu...kOnjanumaam.. - Rathy is not game for this love game. Asks him to go and rest. PK says that he has come to see the doctor. Fortunately for Rathy another doctor comes and Rathy unloads PK to him. While PK vazhings with rathy " un kaiyaale Oosi pOttu sEtha kooda ok" Dr.Nesan PK ai thallindu pOraar - habbaaa But before Dr,Nesan takes him away PK does not forget to needle " You are so cool calm and collected but Naren is not so. After the Shyamala fiasco he is mentally deranged . Thanakku MD post kidaikkalai nnu gone nuts " Rathy says that she knows who is behind all this tamasha "En kitteye yu talk like this about Naren !!" PK says that all is fair in love and war and leaves. Rathy laughs..

Update for Tues, Aug 23, 2011:

This is being written from memory, since my first one disappeared! Please bear with me if I have forgotten anything.

Devi is all dressed up and fuming about something. Rathy asks her why she didn't go to the movies as planned, she says that Akash got angry because she had a phone call from her dear friend, Revathy, just as they were getting ready to leave, so he went to the movie by himself in a huff. Rathy mentions gently that she does seem to be getting a lot of phone calls and she always goes to another room to answer them. Devi wants to know if Akash was complaining about her and Rathy says he was not complaining, he was upset and shared his sorrow. She says that he feels Devi is trying to dominate him, dictating what he should or should not wear, Devi asks if it is wrong if she selects the right shirt for him to wear when he is meeting with foreign delegates. Besides, Devi says, she loves her present life, she has told her friends not to call her, but she cannot give up everything. Rathy asks, so you have a past? Devi says that that was in the past, now she likes her present life, the domestic tiffs and their making up afterwards. Rathy asks if she argues just for the thrill of making up, Devi says that she is unmarried, how does she know about this, and Rathy says that one doesn't need to go to the moon to know about the moon.

Jeevan in his room, the ward boy is mopping. Jeevan asks him if there is a terrorist in the hospital, but the boy says that he doesn't care for all this gossip, and tells Jeevan to keep smiling always. The doctor comes in, says that Jeevan is better now, Jeevan asks him about the terrorist and wants to move to a different ward, the doctor tells him that as an educated man, he should not worry about all this gossip, and in any case, he is going to be discharged in two days.

A car comes in at high speed, honking at the cars around. Rathy gets out, and Naren gets out from another car already parked there. Naren hands her a folder, she asks what is it, and he says it is his resume. He is sending it to a hospital in London, she wishes him luck. He is disappointed, asks if she will not tell him not to go, she says he didn't ask her opinion about going to London, he decided to go there, so why should she give an opinion now and ask him not to go? she tells him she knows he has some problem, but every time he is about to tell her something, he stops. She says she has also had her share of problems. He shouts that she doesn't know about his problems. She says that he will go to London, get settled there in a year, then he will meet some girl and probably marry her. He tells her that she is the only girl in his life. In that case, she says, he should stay behind and fight for her. She has faced numerous problems, PK has given her a lot of trouble and challenged her, but she is dealing with him, why can't he do the same? Naren thinks about it and says he will also face his problems. they go inside, saying they are late for the show.

Devi goes to see PK, he gives her a great welcome. She looks at him, and asks if he is a hero kalandha villain, or villathanam kalandha hero? He says that she has learned well from him. She wants to know why he is financing Shanthi Nilayam, he says it is because of their charitable works. She says he never does anything without a reason, and he wants to know if she knows his reason. She tells him to stay away from Rathy, he says that she make a play for Akash and won him, so what is wrong if he makes a play for Rathy? He tells her that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones at others, she tells him again not to make a play for Rathy, he tells her to keep out of his affairs, or else he will expose her, and Akash will drop her completely.

Ezhil comes into PK's room and tells him that she went to Rathy's house, handed over the proposal to Akash and pOttu kuduthufied to Rathy's mother!

Vidhya sharing her second encounter with Konica with Kaasi – scooty modhal at a turning – both accuse each other for being at the wrong side. Looking back Vidhya repents for her action , feels should have acted more maturely rather than fighting , decides to make amends , calls Camera [ Konica] to apologise. Arrogant Konica disconnects it with a rude remark.

.Akash ready to leave for the hospital , calls out to Rathi. Devi as usual needles him – same dress matter. Akash's BP goes up. Rathi comes & advises Akash – pondati sonnadha kelu , it is all for your own good. Two ladies against a man , Akash surrenders.

Ezhil Vala vaLanu yapping about Naren to PK . PK in no mood to listen to her Naren puranam , he is pre occupied with the thought of Akash's latest decision to compare his CT scan proposal with Devi's .PK wonders how Devi came in to the picture. Ezhil updates him about Devi's presence& her comments when she went to give the file to Akash. PK cautions Ezhil to a have a safe distance from Devi & avoid her even if she approaches Ezhil.

Sathya is working in a petti kadai. Rathi happens to pass by & notices him. She stops the car some distance away & calls him. Wants to know why pena pidikkira kai potlam katting ? Sathya replies – after his discharge from the hospital he did try to pursue his job of a reporter , but as ill luck would have it no one wants to employ him as he dug his own grave with his Kidney story . Added to it is his nondi kaal - another muttu kattai. He did not want to hold on to prestige , wanted some job , a honest job to earn his bread , now happy with this job. Rathi is moved , says likes & respects petti kadai sathya more than reporter Sathya. Finally asks him to meet her at the hospital the next day.

Naren tense & pondering – has visions of PK's threats –"yesnu sonna dhuttu Nonu sonna vettu." .Another Dr. comes in to remind him about his operation for the day .Irritated Naren dismisses him saying he knows about it & is prepared for that.PK calls him , asks about his decision ,teases him saying he would create a Guinness record in decision making , warns that time is running out , wants to have his decision in 24 hours – positive or negative – gloats of his shakti to change negative decision to positive. Naren's thalavali reaches its peak. Naren mindla film Oding – PK's promise of 20 crores. Naren so engrossed in his thoughts fails to notice Rathi's arrival. All set for the operation ? – asks rathi . Naren , not in proper mental frame to perform the operation asks her to make alternate arrangement. Talks irrelevant things , rathi is puzzled ,why this change again , spoke more confidently the other day .Rathi wants to know the reason for his confusion. Naren blabbers that " He is torturing" then corrects himself saying "They are torturing" meaning his parents who want him to be the MD of SN. Rathi asks him to wait till periappa's arrival. Naren again blabbers he just has 24 hours to make the decision & then covers it up with some lame mazhuppals when Rathi raises her brow hearing the time limit. Rathi leaves & Naren again in pondering mode – PK's 24 hour time schedule bothering him.

Monday 19/9/11

Mansi sees the police inspector and frets. But the police inspector leaves the place.
Well, it is none other than Bhaskar, Sathya's friend. He has come to meet Sathya. Bhaskar
tells sathya that he is happy to see him in such a responsible post " you did every thing to malign this hospital but rathy treated you and even gave you a job !! " Sathya says " ellarum nambalai mathiri kettavanga illai " Sathya laughs at the inclusion " santhadi saakule yennaiyum un list le serthutte?? I just assisted you as you are my friend. And also you were not in a mood to listen to my advice, athaan " Asks Sathya for an appointment " want to thank Dr.Rathy " Sathya manages an appointment and Bhaskar thanks Rathy. rathy says that she is busy and Bhaskar leaves. After he leaves, rathy has visions of the police commissioner saying that the hospital is under constant vigilance . Rathy calls Sathya and tells him that he better meet Bhaskar outside " hospital le vendam , do not ask for any reasons, ok?"

Kaasi's BIL comes home - athukkulle inge Naathanaar um manni yum needling each other.
Ganesan sits to eat . kaasi says that he was ashamed to ask for help from Aanand " ennale avar kitte ipdi Oru help venum nnu kekkave mudiyalai " Ganesan says that he plans to leave the job. Visali kku jolly " hmm , samayal uthyOgam...nee mattum thaan intha kudumbathai thaanganum " Ganesan says that he will not be a burden " will bring in money for my food, clothes and stay " General chatter - needling happens.

PK visits Naren's parents. Paal kOva for mommy and perfume for daddy. Daddy wants to know if PK is getting married. PK says that the girl of his choice will become his now " things have changed and look positive " Mummy is concerned about Naren and Ok says that Naren has started listening to him " I will change him and make him accept the firl of your choice. But if rathy comes and tries to worm her way, do not encourage, ok?? Both Aadus play boom boom maadu.

GDP is worried that Aakash does not pick up the phone. Rathy comes and consoles saying that he could be busy or his mobile is out of charge. Shyamala comes and asks " Bombay le irunthu enna kette??" GDP says that she wanted diamond Oddiyanam " but he promised to buy a ring...has gone to Zaveri bazaar" . Shyamala's son is watching the TV - flash news - Bomb blast in Bombay , Zaveri Bazaar le biggest diamond shop collapses - fretting time - all huddle before the TV

Rathi , Vicky , Devi & Shyamala in serious discussion about kidnapper's mirattal . Devi wonders about the kidnapping, trying to find out the motive behind this. Rathi explains Jeevan/ Manasi background – terrorists , got admitted in an accident case , Akash was the one to find out their terrorist background , wanted to discharge them immediately , but Rathi thought otherwise , took the matter to police which has complicated the matter & resulted in Akash's kidnapping. Terrorists wants safe hand over of Jeevan/Manasi in exchange for Akash's release. Devi suspects some one else' hand behind the abduction. But Vicky is convinced that it is the terrorist group & starts blaming already guilty Rathi for all the mess. Devi , calm & composed ,wants to find a solution to the problem rather than crying over spilt milk. Devi tries to locate the origin of the cell number , says seems to be a Dubai number, tries to call in vain , tells Rathi she would take the call the next time,& insist on hearing Akash's voice. Shyamala openly admires Devi's courage & ability to handle the situation composedly. Devi replies –fought lot of corporate wars , adi pattu vizhundhu ezhundhu kathukittadhu niraya. Life has taught me to swim against the current , would definitely do something to save Akash.

Manasi returns to jeevan's room. Agitated Jeevan asks her whether she got the pistol. No replies Manasi . Tight security in the hospital , so bringing in pistol is not an easy job. Secondly JR has assured her that he is taking all steps for their safe release. Matter of just 2 days , they would be out of the hospital , JR making all arrangements for that , has asked Jeevan not to make any stupid move & be patient.

Sathya sitting in front of a tense & nervous Rathi Barathy. An eerie silence prevails. Sathya , intending to help ,tries to probe the reason for her tension. But Rathi gets irritated & rudely asks him to leave the room. Rathi then gets a call from the police commissioner who seeks her co operation in cornering Jeevan/ Manasi. Rathi avoids him saying she is in an important meeting.

Konica & Ganeshan kadali poding. Apparently Ganesan is in job hunting spree. Tried visiting 8 companies on a single day without luck. Konica teases , just up & down the stairs or rather lifts of 10 more companies needed for him to equalize Gajani Mohammed record. Then doles out free advise, if no success with job , follow the footsteps of [ Varumayin Niram Sigappu] Kamala Hasan – be self employed , open a barber shop- people will bow to you , thalaku mela velai. Poor Ganesan , unmindful of her kindalss, informs her about sending his resume to a Mumbai based company. Kavitha comes in & tells Konica about Mumbai blast. Immediately Konica asks Ganesan to drop the idea of job search in other cities.

Rathi requests Naren to meet her at the car park. Informs about Akash's abduction & the conditions laid by the abductors for his release. Seeks his advise on the matter. This Naren seems a totally changed person now a days – 20 crore mayamo?.Instead of being more supportive to Rathi , like Vicky , indulges in blame game. Accuses her for not sharing things with him , coming & informing at the last moment & seeking solutions , treating him as a third person so on. Rathi pleads for some suggestion to save Akash , up on which Naren suggests to postpone Jeevan's discharge by 2 days& utilize the time span to think of an idea to save Akash .

As usual step motherly treatment for SN. 1^st segment not uploaded in techsatish. Tried pipetamil.net. Same treatment. Anyway writing all that I could remember.

Tense Rathi unable to concentrate on work. Kidnapper's threat persistently haunting her. Gets a call from the commissioner asking about the discharge of Jeevan ,Manasi. Least bothered about the consequences argues with the police officer –If law enforcers themselves become law breakers how can the common public be disciplined ? Well asked Konica , after all a lawyer's daughter. Devi confronts PK & asks about Akash's whereabouts. Blames him for Akkash's plight , might have passed on Akash programme itinerary to the kidnappers. PK tries to prove his ignorance in the matter in vain. Devi gives him 24 hour ultimatum or else face the dire consequence – kambi counting at Tihar jail [ InDevi's words Tigar jail]. Freeze on PK's face [ couldn't fathom the expression- was it shock , fear , surprise or was he pondering over some plan to wriggle out of the situation ????].
