Part 2: I LOVE LOVE LOVE Arnav's character sketch. He's a proud, self-made man who cares a lot about his company's image and is on the look-out for shades of a good leader in Ms. Khushi Kumari Gupta who will not only bring along wealth and prosperity to his business, but will also maintain the image of the comapny he has so carefully constructed over the years. And here he is, on the same cruise as his future business partner to test (would that even be the right word to describe what he's here for??) her qualities and see if she would be beneficial on both a personal and professional front for him and his business. If you didn't describe his inner turmoil so well, I or anyone for that matter would percieve Arnav as just another selfish jerk using people for his own benefits. That is commendable!

Part 3: *tadadadada* *tadadadada* (the bollywood background music they play when the villain arrives) Here she comes, could we even call her a Gothel of Tangled? She seems like a harmless blonde bimbo from a first viewpoint (in terms of what she's done in the past) but my curiosity-driven peek into one scene of Part 4 (or was it 5?) tells me just how harmful she can prove to Arnav's secret mission. Hmm instant dislike of her, hope she falls off the cruise by accident, or better Arnav pushes her off! 😡

😆 I love how you describe your dislike for this vamp! pata hai ek secret just for you... when I introduced her in this part, I had no intentions of making her this evil.. but as time went, mujhe laga yeh bandi aisi hi ho sakti hai 😡 haha wait and watch to see what arnu pushes where! 😃😳

I normally like the villains, as it is with my love for the charming and elegant 'Mother knows best' Gothel (in her young form of course) , it's just with IPKKND that I seem to want to hate all the villains. Shyam the creep and Iti the witch are two things i cannot stand atm, I have a feeling she's either 1) going to tell Khushi wrong stuff about Arnav the businessman and not reveal Azad or 2) Reveal Azad and push Khushi out of the way (if that's what she's here for) 😲😕

Hmm onto Azad, love the name and persona, he's one charismatic man! Indeed just like Khushi is enjoying Azad's company, i'm enjoying their flirty convos which only seem to get better as I read on! Haww she blushes and walks away, and Arnav is left smiling all to himself. I've deliberately left out the comment for the last scene with Iti, as I think it's enough criticism of the villain for one day .. hmm watch out for a lot of Iti bashing in Chapter four darling!

I truly enjoyed reading (and imagining) this brilliant chapter, and yes not to mention every scene, every dialogue of Arnav and Khushi's oozes fairytale dreaminess and i find myself hopelessly staring away at my computer screen once I'm done reading the chapter. Thanks for the dreamy read, now i'm definitely going to have a good night's sleep thinking much too obsessively about chapter 4, Arnav Singh Raizada and Flynn Rider ofcourse!

Arnav was shocked and startled to see that the car that hit him was Khushi's. Khushi's mood too changed just as fast from angry to astonished, at the sight of Azad. Khushi helplessly stared at him as she dazed and walked up to him. He looked ever so striking in his white denims, T-shirt, and sun glasses. She seemed to not want to take her eyes off of him. Arnav's eyes too did something similar. He was lost in her beauty as he saw her coming up to him. He froze and just stood there. She clearly looked like she had come from a business meeting seeing her attire. She had her glasses on too. She looked very professional and elegant but Arnav was more dreamy than impressed.

"Mr. Azad aap? Yahaan?" She asked him in absolute disbelief.

"How are you Khushiji?" He uttered calmly and confidently, as he tried to gain back his composure.

"Khushi ji? Aap ne phir se is Ji ke bojh tale daba diya na mujhe?" Khushi reacted with mild aggravation.

"Toh tumne bhi toh mujhe Mr. Azad bulaya na?" He said sporting a small smile on his face. He now seemed to have fully gathered himself.

"Oh! Sorry! Only Azad! By the way sorry for your car! I just did not see it coming! If you want my insurance information.." Khushi tried to apologize but got interrupted.

"Yeh kya baat kar rahi ho. There is not even a scratch on my car. Plus, why are you being so formal? Anyway let me just properly park my car. You do the same then we can talk some more." Arnav told her and they both went and suitably parked their cars. Then they met again and continued their dialogue.

"waise I hope I am not making you late. You must be meeting someone for lunch right?" Arnav politely asked.

"No no Mr. Azad. I mean, Azad! I was just in the area for a presentation. It just finished and I had skipped breakfast today so I was so hungry I just pulled into the first restaurant I spotted. But incidentally I just love TGIF." She giggled as she finished her sentence and then continued. "What about you? Are you waiting for anyone?"

"No I was just in town for business. I don't really know anyone here." He dreaded this meet with Khushi but something inside him wanted to spend more time with her and overpowered his instincts. This unknown pull compelled him to discard the base covering excuse he had ready in his head to sneak him out of there.

"Which means you are here alone too? Fantastic! Will you oblige me with your company then?" She spoke first with sheer excitement, and then turned embarrassed at her own forwardness.

"Yeh bhi koi poochne ki baat hai? Let's not keep the waiters waiting any longer! Shall we go?" He sported equal excitement.

They got escorted to their seats. He politely held the chair for her, and then sat himself down still leaving his shades on. They immediately ordered their drinks and appetizers. Though as they contemplated on the main course, the conversations kept flowing.

"By the way Azad, where did you disappear to that day without even saying goodbye? I thought I was never going to see you again!" Khushi finally saw her chance to complain and did so with utmost concern.

"Kyun? Were you sad? Did you miss me?" He flirted to offset his discomfort.

"What? No! I mean yes! Actually No! It's not like that! Umm, uff! In fact I was just worried since I didn't see you around at all after that evening." She replied awkwardly.

"You thought I fell off the cruiseship or something?" Arnav continued to tease as he saw how affected she got at his retort. His general impulse would be to make his company pleasant by making the person as comfortable as he could, but this one was hard for the naughty Arnav to pass up! His astute comments seemed to ease his own nervousness too!

"Huh? Nooo! What are you saying? Ab bataaiye bhi na!" She finally pleaded.

"Well I got an important call from my branch that's based here, and I had to leave and fly here right away. I will be going back home on Monday." The handsome hunk finally gave a sincere reply.

"Phone call? But you told me you were going to finish some work in crew quarters before coming up!" She caught him!

"If I told you the truth then you would have stayed back to say goodbye and missed your boat. I saw the gates closing as soon as you went in. Ab itni mehnat karke tumhe wahaan pahochaya tha, woh bekaar kaise jaane deta?" He covered up his embarrassment brilliantly with another witty comment.

"But that's.. you did so much for me and I didn't even get to thank you properly!" Khushi now made a gloomy face.

Arnav's heart dropped. He realized he was pulling her leg at the wrong time and needs to be more sympathetic towards her sentiments. She must've been worried. "My apologies Khushi! If I had the means to contact you to let you know, I would have! But we never exchanged any information." He finally softened. "Anyway I knew we would.." He almost blurted that he knew he was going to see her in a week's time so he wasn't so worried. But stopped himself at the right moment. He itched to tell her the truth, but it still was not the right time. He knew he would be inundated with 100 more questions, which he now knew how to answer but not here, not like this. He had already answered so many for the day anyway. Arnav hated being put on the spot and loved puzzling the recipients with his perplexing responses if under scrutiny. But this was different. How he would handle this confrontation, well he had a plan. So for the time being he bit his tongue.

Khushi snapped him out of his thoughts as she reassured him that it was okay. "It must've been meant to be for us to meet again. Who would've ever thought we would meet like this? You didn't even know of my whereabouts."

This made Arnav grin slightly. "Yes Khushi, what a coincident that I landed up in this city of all places."

Finally they placed their entree order and started indulging in the appetizers that had already been delivered on the table. They continued their small talk, discussed hobbies, weather, news, and many other random topics. Khushi told him about her new deal and showed her excitement about working with a celebrity person like Mr. Raizada. "I am a big fan of his after today's presentation. He was professional, down to earth, a good listener, and a great guide. His experience was visible as he me gave valuable tips. I've never met him though I am so excited and nervous at the same time about our first meeting." She went on and on about him as he continued smiling and quietly listening to her. "Oh by the way, I have to tell you this. You know I've spoken to him over the phone a few times before but today was just different. He sounded just like you. When I first heard him, I thought my ears were ringing."

"So you were thinking about me at your presentation too then?" He was delighted and pestered her again.

Khushi's embarrassment and uneasiness became apparent on her face. She too wondered to herself why she thought of Azad at her presentation. She didn't bother responding to his comment or looking at him. She looked here and there, avoiding eye contact, then quickly excused herself and ran off to the washroom.

Arnav smiled as he read her discomfort. "Kitna sharmati hai yeh ladki!" But only he knew his state was no better. This woman's thoughts had plagued his mind ever since he had laid eyes on her. "I did the right thing. I have nothing to feel guilty about." He kept reassuring himself. "I will disclose myself to her just as I've planned. What if she leaves my company if I tell her now? I can't afford that. I need her around. I mean, for my company's future." His insecurities seeped in as he continued the monologue in his head.

Khushi finally came back after what seemed like an eternity to Arnav. She seemed poised again, ready to tackle another battle of wits with him. Instead, she spoke less, ate more, argued about who pays the bill, finally gave into Arnav's relentless stubbornness, and walked out of this delicious restaurant with a big smile and a hint of content in her heart. She was just so happy Azad was okay and she had gotten to meet him one more time. They finally exchanged contact information at her insistence. He gave her his international phone number, they bid farewell and parted ways with a lot of happiness, but a heavy heart. Neither of them knew why they were sad but alas, they spent the rest of the day and the weekend sulking and keeping busy in mundane things just to keep their minds off of each other! Early the following week, Arnav went back to India.

Finally, it was Friday again. The day she was to leave on her new journey! Her mind was excited about the new adventure and experiences she was about to embark on, but the heart was heavy. She was going to miss her family and friends to no end. India was just too far! She would not be able to come running to her dear ones whenever she pleased or whenever she needed them the most. She was on her own now. She was frightened. She had already witnessed Iti's evilness and knew she was going to be around. The thought gave her frights but she shrugged all her anxieties and apprehensions, hugged her friends and family, and got on the plane. She spent long hours on the plane laying, trying to distract herself, watching movies, and sometimes crying, but soon it was over. She had landed in India. She smelled it. It was monsoon there and the wet smell was in the air. She felt nostalgic. Finally she was out of the airport and the company car was waiting for her. She had heard the day before leaving that the apartment assigned to her initially had been changed, and the driver was to take her directly to the new place.

She reached there and was stunned to see a spectacular sight of this magnificent residence that was waiting to welcome her. She was ecstatic and appreciative of Mr. Raizada's generosity. She got settled, took a shower, and spent the rest of the Sunday recuperating from the trip. Monday was a big day, the first day of her work.

Finally the D-day was here. She took her sweet time getting ready. Heart was thumping. Body was shivering. But she suddenly felt confident and ready to get to work. At the office the staff gave her a warm welcome. Laksh showed her around, and introduced her to all key people. The office had a friendly yet very executive feel. Her own office was quite exquisite. Finally, Laksh came and said, "Arnav sir is finished with his meeting, why don't we go and meet him Ms. Gupta?"

Khushi felt her hair rising. It was the moment she had imagined in her head a million times. But it was finally there! The man she regarded so highly was about to come face to face with her. But this time, she was ready for him. They left from there and were about to knock on Arnav's office door when the door opened and a suave business figure stylishly walked out. Khushi stood there with her hand on her heart as it was beating so fast. But was appalled and flabbergasted at who she saw standing before her.

"Azad?" She mumbled, but low enough that no one heard it. She froze. Arnav extended his hand to formally welcome her. "Welcome to India and to Raizada Industry Ms. Khushi Kumari Gupta. It's a pleasure to finally meet you."

Khushi stood there without reacting, just staring at him, but Laksh nudged her, and she reciprocated the handshake.

Arnav continued talking as he let go of her hand. "Sorry I could not attend your presentation live but I highly regard your work and your ways. I am confident we will take this company to new heights together. Please make yourself comfortable. We shall reconvene this afternoon for a quick brief after your introductory session in the morning. Hope you are finding the experience pleasurable so far. Until we meet again!" And he walked away as he finished.

Khushi turned around and stood there staring at him disappearing from her eyes in sheer amazement, shock, pain, confusion, and slight anger.
