Meena when we listen the language we dont understand it feels like ...its with all the languages not only Punjabi ...I love my mother tongue and its very sweet and polite ...

I had a few bitter experiences with some non indians abt punjabi , in few years abroad i met many Pakistanis out of which with two ppl i got to know what pakis think abt punjabi , one person said i dont speak in punjabi with my Grand parents bcz its not a respectable language ...and met another pakistani whos father was punjabi but mother was frm karachi and he was like My mom dont let us speak punjabi bcz its a " ladayi jhagde Wali langaguage " ...well gave them suitable reply at the place 😉

so these two experiences abt MY language has made me biased towards all pakistani that they all Do Not respect my language and whenever anyone says anything against it , my Blood starts boiling ...

which language does not have some loud words? and just bcz its majorly presented as Oye Hoye kinda and loud music kinda in movies does not mean its Loud .

^^ all that aside.. i still think punjabi is not a 'sweet' language.. and both my parents are punjabi.. the only thing i speak with them and my relatives in india is punjabi... i am not going to be biased towards it just cuz i am punjabi.. it is wht it is..

What is "sweet" anyways?

Is Punjabi a "romantic" language? NO

Its no latin, french or spanish or "urdu" closer home.

But other than those 4 its as beautiful as any other language. As loud or as mellow as you want it to be.

im punjabi but born in canada and ive been speaking punjabi ever since i was born and i can read and write it too now (which is pretty easy once u can speak the language) and i wouldn't consider it a crude language at all. it all depends on how u speak it. in movies and tv shows when i see hindi being spoken it flows so well but most people who ive heard speaking hindi in real life speak it in a more rustic way. when i was learning to read and write punjabi we had to speak it in a more formal way which sounds much better than how we wuld speak it at home.

Again loudness is less about the language and more about the person speaking it.

Take Hindi for example. A rickshaw wala from UP doesn't speak it in the same way as an educated C.E.O of some company. Same language, different dialacts, different ways of speaking and hearing it.
