Hi All,

I watched the episode after a lapse of two days since I thought that they will drag the death and and the abandoned wedding for a week at least, but was pleasantly surprised that it already is moving on to the next stage ..

Early in the week , we saw 2 opposite emotions in the two houses..but today both r united in pain,sadness...hopefully leading to the union of this 2 diverse houses resulting in happiness ..

Coming to the actors, I hope that Varun stays on, he is a good actor and would not like it if his role is going to be a cameo ... DABH is in need of good actors , losing Surbhi was quite a blow ..do not want to lose Varun too ...

Anas as usual was his restrained self...and trying his utmost to make this show appealing ...But he sorely needs backup, which is not forthcoming yet ..Poor Anas really caries a heavy burden !!...The Actor playing santhosh has to really work on her modulation.. her constant shrill voice is grating on the nerves ..Nothing much to say about Kanika, since she has been doing such kinds of roles snce time immemorial and must have become a routine by now ..

The pace of the serial is moving rather fast but still it is not managing to convey this and gives an impression of a crawl... could it be bec of the Dialogues ...IMO..The dialogues are very weak..it is not crisp nor sharp nor witty ..The dialogues are pedantic and pedestrian and needs to be worked upon...in this era of 10 new serials a day, U really need dialogues to hold ur attention, or One requires an ensemble talented actors to keep the ship floating ..but Unfortunately DABH lacks both ...I sincerely hope that either The PH or the channel takes matters seriously and begin some pruning before it is too late ...

I understand that the DABH is taking over the timeslot left by the Iconic Bidai, but it would not do good to follow the same pattern of Bidai..the time and place is different, Viewer's are not in the mood for maudlin and heavy scenes and dialogues..they have become used to faster pace, crisper dialogues and a twist in every epi, DABH lacks in providing twists and in creating the what next edginess ...With new serials bombarding u everyday..one has to catch ur eyeballs from day 1 and never let go ... which DABH did with its music, concept and the unique promo's..but it is being let down by some poor acting ...Hope they rectify it soon and this serial truly kicks off ..cos it has a great concept ..

Nice analysis di!My only complaint is Deepika in emotional scenes,as a chirpy and vivacious girl shes good ! i know its weird but i have become fond of Santosh,shes entertaining but i dont think anybody can judge a show like you do,you are too good 😊

Its an interesting serial but lacks strenght to hold on to the audience interest in the long run!

Sumit and Shashi Mittal, who are producing this serial also made one for Star Plus earlier, whose name I forget! It replaced Kis Dis Mein Hai Mera Dil...that serial was also like it had been lifted from the 1960's hindi pot-boiler movies! Very dated and pedestrian. And the performances were also uniformly bad in that show...everyone loud and over-the-top!

Nowadays, most shows are based in either villages or in small towns, but that does not necessarily mean that the story, dialouges or the characters have to be so run-of-the mill or cliched.

I like Anas Rashid and he plays Suraj very well...but its not a character that one can really fall in love! Which is what is required for a show to succeed...the audience has to completely be sold on either of leads...Suraj's character is someone you will sympthaize with but not necessarily fall in love with. I just wish the creatives don't make him a door-mat kind of guy, who lets everyone walk over him!

Sandhya is good in some scenes, very average in others. For one, she is so petitie, that it looks highly unconvincing when she announces that she wishes to be an IPS Officer and hunt down the terrorists! Somehow, her pretty face lacks the gravity to convince that she means business!

The actor playing Bhabo is just all over the place...she is too loud and hams way too much! Its the sort of acting which has long gone out of practice and out of fashion...along with Ekta Kapoor's K-serials, where everyone used to roll eyes and scream at the top of their voice! This lady needs to really tone down her performance, since she seems to have an important role and would be part of the episode on a daily basis.

Its just two weeks or so...I think the expectations are high, because the 9 Pm slot on Star Plus is considered very prestigious and as you said, it has replaced the iconic Bidaai...so all eyes on DABH!

PS: IMO, this serial would do very well, if the core theme of the show remains the love-story between the uneducated and simple Suraj and the educated and smart Sandhya! I am not sure, how the creatives wil handle the entire, Sandhya becoming a IPS Officer and then coming home to make Chappati's and Sabzi as per Bhabo's orders!😕

Yes, she has a softer face but she can use her eyes to convey the strength..But she is not doing that which is a pity..her eyes remain blank most of the time ... M not Saying that Santosh is Bad, Mon..But she needs fine tuning ..she does not have to use the same tone , it has to dip n raise ,, shud have subtle inflection's. ..and U know what..The actor playing this character has the ability to modulate..she has shown this versatility in a scene ..but I simply do not understand why she is not used effectively and is typecast as a shrill, nagging, controlling shrew... such characters were alright 3-6 years back..but not now..

True di,she is not being utilized to her potential,like you mentioned she shouldnt be typecast!on my part i am eagerly awaiting SurYa union,going by the promos their chemistry is wonderful.Concept rocks but the actors should pull up their socks

Yes, TheSerial will really begin when SurYA come together ...but they need to perk up their dialogues & tweak their script 😊

That is the impression that I got too ... unless Channel takes charge, This BR Chopra style drama will not gel in the long run ..

I thought Sp was re-orienting since almost all the new shows were focusing on Urban and Middle class .

Totally Agree on this, But felt tht he already is under th thumb of his mother and cloyingly sweet.. he is not someone who would evoke admiration, sympathy perhaps but Suraj has to be built up even more strongly..

agreed with ur POV the show needs sum gud actors , i think we'll convey this to PH so that thy realize it in the begining
