But when Pratap's parents insisted and Suguna was also adamant they decided to do her Gauna, which is send off...Suguna did not have child out of wed lock. She was married to Pratap but before Gauna husband and wife were not supposed to consummate so her pregnancy came as a shock... If you see old episodes Suguna keeps asking her parents that when Anandi can come to sasra as soon as she got married, why have they not send her to her saasra and husband for so many years...I remember a convo between little Anandi and Suguna were Suguna says, "who does not like to study, I was very interested but DS cut my name from school and get married.Now DS wants me to settle down in my married life but my parents are not allowing. Nobody's listens to a girl's heart."
