I just wanted to say some people have been posting comments that Maan cannot slap Geet and this cannot happen..regarding my other FF's. I mean thank you I respect your point of view but hey this is an FF and if Maan was suppose to be like the Maan in the serial..it would be no point reading FF's of any kind. So please do not get offended and read with an open heart.

Part 2

Geet sat on her bed contemplating whether to give Maan a call. Her ego told her not to but her love told her she should ring him. She looked at the written mobile number and smiled and then frowned. She kept making her forhead creased with deep thought. Eventually she rang Pinky her childhood friend.

"Pinky I need to talk to you...Sonam spoke to Adi and he said Maan wants to talk to me..what do you think I should do?"

"Geet I think you should ring him..I mean you love him and maybe he had a reason to refuse you..otherwise you will regret it for the rest of your life...what do you want to do?"

"Uhhh I'm confused and excited..I mean I want to speak to him..this is what I always wanted but Maan doesn't be straight with me". She knotted her dupatta and paced the room while talking.

"Look Geet this is your chance..either way you will find out if Maan is the guy for you..just ring him".

"But Pinky I'm really nervous..I have never hardly spoken to him..Or any guy for that matter".

"Geet just ring him..its normal you being nervous..just say Babaji's name and call him". Geet put the phone down and her father walked in.

He seemed a little apprehensive and sat down with Geet. "Beti..Adnan's parents keep asking for you and two other families are asking for your rishta..what shall I say?" Geet got up and seemed irritated.

"Papa just say no I'm not ready for marriage..I'm starting university soon so I don't want any hassle". Raam left feeling upset that her daughter was not over Maan. She was just using university as an excuse.

It was tradition for girls to get married early in the Handa parivaar. Geet was getting lots of attention as everyone did not want the Maan Singh Khurana alliance with Geet. As long as she married someone like Adnan Sami they were all fine. Geet on the other hand was tired of all and having responsibilities. She was very good student and a daughter but sadness never really left her.

Geet hearing people were flooding them with proposals felt really scared. She did not want to marry anyone else. She picked up the phone and dialled his number. Her breathing increased. Her hands were shaking uncontrollably. Her stomach had a million butterflies fluttering inside her. The phone began ringing. After 10 rings someone picked the phone up. Her heart felt like it had stopped pumping.

"Hello?" he answered the phone in his manly voice.

"Hi, its me Geet"

"I Know I recognised your voice". He recognised her voice oh my god! She felt elated that he did know her voice.

"Uhhh Sonam gave me your number and said you wanted to talk to me".

"Uh yes..I did want to talk to you..you see everyone is on my back that they want me to get married but I don't want to get married". He let out a nervous laugh.

"So you wanted to tell that to me?"

"No! I told mum to speak to your father and propose on my behalf but I don't want to get married for 3 or 4 years".

"Oh I see I thought you didn't want to get married to me.".

"Nah I just not ready yet but after 3 years I will be fine".

"Well that's okay I'm starting university anyway so I'm happy to get married after 3 years".

"Listen I need to go..nice talking to you...and hold on tight..and take my mobile down". He put the phone down and Geet felt elated. Maan Singh Khurana spoke to her and was nice to her. She felt on top of the world. She told Sonam and she was so excited for her. Nisha walked in and gave her usual remarks. "Geet don't be too happy these bad boys one minute can be so sweet you and the next you don't know where you stand".

"Geet ignore Sonam she is just jealous". Sonam gave an angry glare to Nisha. Deena Khurana rang Raam Handa.

"Maan maan gaya? I mean I'm happy my friend par you know how he's like-unpredictable. Please Deena make sure he is happy as I don't want my daughter hurt."

"Raam he rang us in India himself and said to talk about the rishta". The Khurana's and Handa's began talking about this rishta but were little apprehensive.

There was a party at a mutual friends house. Sonam came in whilst Geet was getting ready. "Geet don't wear that wear this red clothes. They will look on you and let me do your makeup." Geet was pleased that Sonam was making her feel special. They entered the party and Geet could feel the Khurana's making an extra effort with them. They looked at Geet who was dressed to impress.

They kept whispering to each other and Geet overheard. "Call Maan he wanted to see her to make up his mind". Geet began knotting her dupatta. It was all a setup and she never realised her family was involved in it too. She was feeling nervous and her heart began racing. For the rest of the party she waited to see him but he did not come. In a way she was glad as she knew if he came infront of her she probably would faint.

Geet went home feeling shy at all the extent of the plans both families had made. "Sonam you knew Maan wanted to see me? But why does he want to see me..hasn't he seen me before? I don't really get it Sonam he has told me he wants to marry me and wait and then he tells his family that he wants to see me first? What is he trying to do?"

Sonam came near her sister and hugged her with tears. "Geet I'm sorry..we set you up and he was too shy to come face to face and then told Adi that he doesn't want to get married to you or anyone for that matter".

Geet stood there motionless trying to take in what her sister was saying. After hurting her last time he asked her to ring him and then changed his mind again. Geet's heart was not a toy that he could play with. She needed to talk to him so she decided to ring him and have it out with him for one last time.

It is a complicated story and as I hinted Maan is unpredictable...Its hard to write it down but hey I'm trying..I hope its different from my other FF.
