Sushant Rajput pays tribute to Barry John
Jaspreet Nijher, TNN | Sep 3, 2011, 05.36PM ISTTV actor Sushant Rajput, who plays Manav in Ekta Kapoor's serial, " Pavitra Rishta" pays glowing attributes to his teacher, the theatrist, Barry John ahead of Teacher's Day.
"The turning point in my life was when I decided to switch careers and opted out from engineering into the field of acting," says Sushant who is also trained in martial arts and dancing.
For having helped him hone his acting skills, without any acting background, Sushant credits Barry. "The entire credit goes to my theatre teacher Barry John who for the first six months did not speak a single word to me about my performance, other than taking notes in his diary. But at the end of my graduation I got a 'B' grade and everyone else got a 'C'. Barry called me aside and said, 'You are good. Think about acting as a career option.' Since then there has been no looking back for me," he adds
