I'm not getting the point of him leaving
his home. If he wants Sarika to unite w/ Naveen on the grounds that the latter is more compatible, then how is he leaving
his home going to achieve that? Sarika only has the right to stay there b'cos of
him. If he releases her from their marriage, then she no longer has any duties towards her sasural, but she doesn't stay there any more. Or is it now the custom on TV following that braindead serial BV that if a guy's marriage breaks, his family belongs to his ex-wife, rather than to him?
I do like Jai being so selfless for a change that he's now willing to release Sarika from the marriage, given that it's the biggest obstacle to her achieving her goals. Although, would Naveen's family have let Sarika study and be a doc had she married him? Just b'cos he's going to college and encouraged to study doesn't mean that his beendni would as well.
Also, if Naveen was from an impoverished family that he wanted Sarika to drop out so that he could get her scholarship, how was he at any point a suitor to Sarika?
