I agree with you completely except for the bit in bold...that sounds too much like a compromise and unfair to Kesar if Gulaal only returns to be the bahu of the family...yes, Gulaal will ultimately be forgiven by the family but that can't be the only reason she marries Kesar...doesn't sound fair to me.

Gulaal will need a prod to return to the family. Given her character sketch she puts her dead husband's family above everything inspite of what she went through in their hands. So they may ask her to return to them as their bahu. If she agrees to marry Kesar, it would be both for the sake of the family and Kesar although deep down it would also be for her own sake for she too has developed feelings for the man. Whether she recognises that yet let alone accept it, only time will tell.

OMG I read this post and the chain of replies only now .. was totally mislead by the subject line and thought I would read it peacefully in the weekend ..

Well, now I dont know what to say and cant keep quiet either !

Well, I too hate to miss a show that I love , after it is pulled off air... and I would love something to happen to bail me out of that pain - to that extent I understand topic maker's relief that that if the show is not missed, it saves pain...

But beyond that, my views are totally different - because I think Gulaal is a unique and exceptional show and I am going to sorely miss it after it ends...this kind of portrayal on telly screen is rare -

the beauty of the show comes from not just one but so many characters and relationships being detailed and intertwined in such intricate manner and every character neither black nor white but complex (except perhaps Vasant, who was more white and Messiah like , more so now as he is dead)...

I too am a Kes-Gul fan to the core , but they are a part of a larger story even while being special... and that makes this show not lop-sided, but a complete masterpiece...!

Cheers!

I understand topic maker's relief that that if the show is not missed, it saves pain... That was totally my point. When I made the post I thought I could make myself not miss it but i'm totally going to miss it ... just can't get my head round the fact that this show is going to be ending soon :[ Gulaal pretty much took over my summer holidays and I have no regrets about that. But everyone misses what they done in summer and im sure im going to miss it too. :( Deffo agree that this show is a complete masterpiece! :] It's going to be treasured by each and everyone one apart of this beautiful journey. :)
