JK Rowling is ranked at #22 on this year's Forbes power list, which ranks celebrities based on their income, web hits, press clips, TV/radio featurettes, and cover stories. The just-published list tracks from June 2004 to June 2005. Forbes writes: "One of a handful of billionaires on the Celebrity 100; her Harry Potter oeuvre has sold 265 million copies worldwide. And that's before counting book six: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince comes out on July 16 but has already been an Amazon.com bestseller."
According to Forbes, JKR's statistics are as follows:
Income: $59.1 million
Web Hits: 1.35 million
Press Clips: 4,343
TV/Radio: 53
