Friendships day was initially known as National Friendships Day in America as a celebration of brotherhood and friendship in 1935,one every first sunday of august.The reason for this celebration is not known,but it is said to be beacuse of the on going effects of the first world war.
In 1997 Winnie the Pooh was appointed as the Friendships Day Ambassador of the world.
A friend means so much to us,then why we should have only ONE day in the whole year dedicated to them?
Personally I thank my friends a million times a year,cos common for all the small yet Big things they do for you one day or one small card or friendship band is not enough.
