hey friends, I know I am new to the forum and dont have much right to barge in , but of late I am a bit regular and I love some of the things you all write ...and love the way you keep the forum alive even though there are relatively less number of posts here ...but I love the fact that all of us appreciate and like this quality show , which is indeed a rare treat on Indian telly...
I love the current phase of the show even more as it is cute and exciting at the same time ...there is kiddishness and awkwardness at the same time ...leading to a beautiful story of a unique relationship...between our Kesar and Gulaal...Never before have I seen such a relationship unfold so magically on screen...
And in that context , I love the name "Kesu da" as I read your posts... so was just wondering, who gave this wonderful name ""Kesu da" to the ever adorable neil Bhatt as Kesar ?
I love it and it suits him so well, especially when he is in his magical white kurtas...
Kesar is magical..and "Kesu da " is out of this world !
Cheers !

Hey VJ, glad that u also like this beautiful but different story 😛 oh n kesar was called kesuda by his elders when he was a kid, vasant bha, mota bha paan bha n all used to call him with 3 names, kesar, kesuda n kesar ji, n kesuda name is more famous than even kesar hehehe, v just love to call him kesuda, our naughty sweet heart kesuda 😛

yes this story is shown as in a serial for the very first time, its just so beautiful n the concept is very unique one, i dont think so v vl get to see another serial which vl match this or even just try to match it, no serial can ever take this serial's place 😛

Thanks a lot for your post ...
I knew the name Kesarji , but wasnt aware of "Kesu da" .. I thought one of you gave it, as you write so brilliantly about the episodes...😊 Actually I started Gulaal enthusiastically , was struct by its cinematography and fresh treatment ... but didnt watch for a while, especially around Vasanth's death and Dushy's bad days ...Also, l was wary of the impending diyarvattu as I too had a stereotype mind and Gulaal's concept of "paap" and Kesar's "Cheee" were very much my mind at the thought of it happening as i read on net that this was about to happen...
But really , the way they treated the storyline and the Kes-Gul relationship was mindblowing ..I have never seen a unique relationship like this and all the "paap" and "chee" has been banished from my mind ..by our very own Kesar ..and he taught me too ...that "galati uski soch mein nahin , meri samajh mein thi"😊 And now, I am filled with awe and delight at their ethereal love , that goes beyond all conventional definitions , has a unique purity of its own , which has retained its beauty even in the midst of the now emerging attraction ... so much so that I now eagerly look forward to their coming still closer and want to see how they deal with it ... dearest Kesar and Gulaal...
and oh, "Kesu da" , not Kesar ...😳
thanks once again for your reply...

"Kesuda" is like a pet name that elders tend to use in Gujarat. Like Revdi for Reva, Devdi for Devika. For guys its "da" and girls its "di". Growing up in Gujarat I heard it a few times used by elders. Now that Kesar is grown up nobody uses it much, it makes sense for younger kids.

u r welcome 😊 n yes here people write so brilliantly about the serial, i just love their analysis, yes at that time, serial some what lost its charm due to vasant's death but deeyarvattu brought in a new twist, but after some days, again the charm was like missing but then after the leap the serial came out as a total changed n new thing n restored its all lost charm, from then till uptill now it has conquesred our hearts like anything n yes u r right, they have shown totally different relationship between two people, it is such a relationship which is beyond likeness, friendship, lust, belonging n even love... they share such relation which cant be named n this is the beauty n uniqueness of this serial also 😃

u know i always think that the way CVs have brought it all n the way they carry forward the tracks, the way they keep giving hint to us viewers... nobody can match their standards, this serial is really fantastic 😃, oh then u r welcome again 😆
