Geet took the plate but couldn't eat. She was suddenly very nervous.

Maan,'' why aren't you eating?''

geet,'' I am not hungry.''

maan took the plate from her hand and started eating. Geet watched him eating and suddenly felt irritated, he could have asked again.

Maan suddenly looked up at her and caught her staring at food. He hid a smile and asked,'' want some?''

geet nodded and scooted a bit closer to him. He took another spoon from tray and another plate and started feeding her. Deep satisfaction curled inside him at having her so near. She was relaxing around him.

After they were done eating, he got up and took the tray outside where a servant was waiting and handed him over the tray. ''where are the clothes?'' at that moment another servant came with clothes on hanger.

Maan took them from him and went back inside and closed the door.

Geet was standing beside the bed when maan entered the room.

Geet,'' I must go home, its really late.''

maan gave her the clothes,'' I understand. Here are some clothes, you can change here.''

he went outside.

Geet closed the door, then locked it. Only then she permitted herself to look at her clothes. They were patiala style shalwar kameez in brown colours. She hoped they fit. Then, she wondered whose clothes were these? Did they belong to some relative or they were his girl friends?or did he have a wife?

She sank back on bed, what did she know about him? Nothing, zich. He was a stranger and she was in his home, half naked with torn blouse and she had just eaten the food he had given her. What if it contained something? No, he was not like that her mind insisted. He was maan. So, what? She angrily thought but her mind remained quiet.

Great now she was talking to herself. She shook her head feeling miserable, she stared at her clothes but I better change out of these torn clothes.

maan waited outside the room,'' what was taking her so long?''

finally, he heard the door unlock but before he could enter geet came out. Maan just stared at her in her old clothes, he went to her and hugged her and then, quickly let her go.

Maan,'' I am sorry, you just looked like the way when you were in college. I couldn't stop myself.''

geet,'' college?''

maan gave her a rueful smile,'' yes but I guess you forgot that, I have heard about the amnesia.''

geet stared at him, he knew her before her memory loss.

Maan,'' I know you won't believe it but we were very close, that was why at the club I acted bit crude, it wasn't like that, I just wanted to be with you.''

geet,'' but nobody ever mentioned you.''

maan,'' because they didn't know, we met in delhi.''

maan knew he wasn't telling her the complete truth but as shashank had pointed out to him earlier that geet trusted her mother and kashab while maan was a stranger. So, maan had to be careful.

But when geet spoke her words rocked his world,'' I believe you. I felt like I should know you.'' her love humbled him even when she had forgotten everything.
