Monika quits Pratigya This onscreen mother has quit to try her luck in Bollywood Neha Maheshwri Monika Singh aka Pratigyas mom has quit the show.Apparently,its Bollywood calling for her and the interested producers want the actress to be off TV for a while so that viewers can forget the character of a mother that she has been essaying on the show.Speculations were rife that Monikas ex-boyfriend,Ankit Gera,who plays her son on the show was shown the door last month.Sources stated that the two actors werent comfortable shooting with each other ever since their relationship went kaput a few months ago.It was rumoured that the makers retained Monika and Ankit was relieved from the show.However,we now hear that Gera will continue to be in Pratigya and Monika,who is shooting for the same serial currently,is on her way out.When contacted,the actress said,I have quit the show and there will be a new actress stepping into my shoes.I cant divulge my plans yet.One will have to wait to hear about my next move. When questioned about the buzz on Madhur Bhandarkar giving her a break in Bollywood,she says,This is false.I have not even met Madhur. We hear that the hunt for her replacement is on. Bollywood calling, Monika! Monica Singh aka Nainaji, Pratigya's on-screen mother has recently quit Star Plus' show Mann Ki Awaaz… Pratigya. There are rumors that the talented actress was offered a role by the ace director, Madhur Bhandarkar, himself for his upcoming movie. The young actress played a mother of a married daughter in the show. It seems that Madhur himself suggested that she should leave the show so that the audience can forget her famous character.
