SynergyOne Delhi Couture Week, which kickstarts from today and will run for five days till the 25th of July is already drawing a lot of attention (good and otherwise) from Bollywood and fashionistas, writes Nimisha Tiwari The Bollywood presence in Delhi is heavy duty, of late.
Many actresses are slated to walk for their fave designers and couturiers at a handsome fee of 10-15 lakhs. But actress Karisma Kapur, who had promised to walk for designer Anju Modi, chose to walk out at the last minute citing personal reason of kid's school opening and an urgent trip toMumbai. Insiders say that she wasn't too happy with the money offered and wanted much more. With this, she'd has left the designer's team in a lurch. They are looking for a big actress as replacement, trying their luck with Rekha, Priyanka Chopra and Sonali Bendre.
Amongst others, actress Madhuri Dixit is all set to sit pretty in the Front-Row for designer Varun Bahl. Daabangg girl Sonakshi Sinha will do the showstopping act for designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil. Lara Dutta, Soha Ali Khan, Raveena Tandon and Dia Mirza will root for Manav Gangwani.Zarine Khan is walking for Adarsh Gill. Sharmila Tagore will be the showstopper for designers Ashima and Leena. Designer Manish Malhotra show, which is eagerly awaited by Delhiites has no filmi showstoppers.
