Written Update July 18, 2011

Gulaal is in her room pacing and flashbacks to her friends' words about Kesar, and her eyes fall on Champ and the flowers and she flashbacks to Kesar when he gifted her both. Raman and Sudha have a moment in their room, Sudha is so touched that Raman is thinking well of Talli that she is indebted to him, and Raman leads her on about his goodness and throws in some guilt about the 10 years he spent in prison. Raman's phone rings and someone asks him to come to there place at that time.

Kunal talks to Talli's photo lovingly. Gulaal is in her room worried, Talli asks her to eat something since she hasn't eaten since morning, she sees the flowers and asks her if they were given by Kesar, Gulaal looks miffed and Talli leaves since she refuses to eat. Kunal calls Talli but Raman picks up, he asks to speak with Kesar but Raman asks him to tell him why he called, Kunal says he heard Talli agreed to the marriage and wanted to hear it from her, but nevermind and hangs up.

It starts raining and there is thunder and lightning, Raman says looks like there is going to be a storm coming. Talli asks Sudha where she is lost, Sudha tells her she is worried about how Talli will manage in her new home.

Gulaal is in the room still thinking about her friends' words, Kesar comes there and gets tea for her, he says if she is cold he will shut the window. She asks him why he is doing all this, why did he get her flowers, he smiles and says he got them because she likes white flowers, when he went to drop off Dhani and Bulbul, Dhani told him Gulaal likes white flowers, he wanted her not to lose her smile after her friends left so he got her flowers, but Jamna asked him suddenly so he distributed some to others, why is she asking though, she likes the flowers thats all. She looks at him angrily and asks why he is take care of her likes, why is he doing what she likes, what does he want to prove, he decided to break the deeyarvattu so why is he since trying to please her, was all that a drama, does he expect to displace her thoughts of him with her acceptance of him as her husband, does he want to prove to everyone that he is a good husband so she has to accept him after 3 months. Kesar's smile fades slowly while hearing her words, but when she gets to his intentions he feels so hurt and vulnerable and has tears in his eyes as well as disbelief.

He is shocked and they have a moment of silence. He asks her softly what did she just say, she thinks he is doing all this as drama, he questions whether her reliving her childhood and his getting her flowers is because he wants her, he did all this only for her happiness and didn't have any selfish motives, how could she even think like this. He turns around and sets the flowers on the table where Vasant and his photo frame is, and tells Gulaal he agrees he has love in his heart for her and probably will always have, it took him a while to understand that love is not always taking but also giving, that is why he called the panchayat to free her, but when the panchayat declined to break the deeyarvattu he thought he has only 3 months to make up for all the pain he caused her, he wanted to fill her 3 months with so much happiness that her thoughts about his behavior would change, not so she would accept him as her husband. Too much sweetness is also poisonous, he always wanted to give her happiness and this was his mistake. Her problem is that she always measures his expressions, whether he is less or more he is always wrong in her mind, no matter what he thinks or does he is always wrong, the truth is that the issue is not with his thoughts but with her understanding, no matter how much he tries to make her happy she always thinks of him as wrong, sometimes she ignores him and sometimes she speaks to him like this in an insulting manner, his love for her causes her more angst than him (really excellent point here, why does it bother her so much... maybe guilt?). Neither does she move ahead nor does she let him, no matter how hard he tries she doesn't even remember that they have a relationship outside of these things, or that the HAD the relationship. Gulaal is completely shocked and in tears listening to him and feeling his pain. Kesar goes next to the window and cries. She feels bad and goes to him to say something, he says she said what she had to, now onwards he will stay away from here so there will be no room for misunderstandings, maybe she will find her happiness then, and leaves.

Precap: Kunal tells Talli that he cannot believe she agreed to marry him, on the terrace she was like this and even now she looks scared and reserved.

Hands down the confrontation with Gul-kesar was the best in the episode and the only scene I watched. 😆
