How did this passion for cooking begin? It began during my childhood as I developed a liking for cooking. Back then, I used to just try my hand at making milk based sweets like Kheer and Basundi. I got confident as they were easy to make. Gradually, I tried more complicated dishes. Cooking became my necessity four years ago when I landed in Mumbai and had to take care of myself. Now cooking has become a passion as I find it to be a good stress buster. |
What was the first dish you prepared? I prepared a sweet dish called Rabbadi which is made of milk and I had served it to my mom. It is a very popular dish in Madhya Pradesh. | |||
Which is your specialty dish? I can cook from Indian to Continental dishes but I love to cook Indian dishes both 'Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian. My specialty is Indian food basically. I feel there is no secret in my recipes yet I believe that the magic in one's hands also works as when my nani made even a simple dal, it would be delicious. My nani is best cook. |

Which celebrity chef do you admire the most? I feel Sanjeev Kapoor's recipes are simple and nutritious. I love the way he gives details about his recipes. I find Sanjeev Kapoor to be the best among all celebrity chefs. |
Do you experiment with your cooking? Yes. Sometimes when I am free, I do experiment. Recently I prepared a sabzi 'mixed vegetable with less oil, pan fried with little salt and pepper. It tasted just fine. |
Who brings the best dabba on the sets? There is no one particular who brings lunch on the sets but sometimes my director Partho Ghosh brings great food. Usually we order food on the sets. |
