Ash must have signed a contract..If she gets out of the film on her own she would have been asked to pay for the loss...

Both the actress and director are at fault - one for not informing about her pregnancy and other for not keeping his word about the schedule and introducing ridiculous item numbers and bathing scenes after she signed the film.

So it doesn't surprise me that they have sorted their issues out amicably. Good. So does that mean she will do the film after she is back or will he take up a new actress now? That's still ambiguous.

Anyway, if she is replaced, it is only losses for UTV as there was pre-production for months + 8 days shoot + the grand announcement at Cannes and the international coverage it got thanks to Ash. Also, the script was re-writtern for her. So if they go with someone else, it will go waste. But if they continue the film with her, they can shoot the remaining scenes and complete the film without incurring any big losses.

Come to think of it... the amount of publicity the film got in the past two weeks.. you don't get this much publicity even if you spend 10 crore on it! Clearly, it was a masterstroke from Bhandarkar.

Regarding Mr.Bachchan, I think he was asked this question and didn't make the comment himself. But he just gave us the picture without going into the details. Very well.

Every body is milking from this situation except poor Abhi..I feel sorry for him ..he is the only humble person in that family i think..
