Armaan's family, Ila and Angel have come to give shagun to Jassi's family. Angel leaves no stone unturned in humiliating the family by subtly commenting on the place and their class.
Jassi realizes that Ila doesn't want the ceremony in Amritsar; however, Jassi tells her family that she will stand by the promise she gave to Bebe and that the engagement will happen in Amritsar. Jassi discusses this issue with Armaan but he is too much in love to realize the gravity of the issue.
Armaan calls Jassi and asks her to say yes to him, but she says that it's become difficult for her to do so.
The surprised Armaan drives crazily to her house but finds it locked. On calling Jassi he hears the whistle of a train. Jassi tells Armaan this is the mode of travel that a simple middle class girl takes, and boards the train. Will Armaan follow her?
