After Minissha Lamba, Bipasha Basu, and Mallika Sherawat's brother, it's Anushka Sharma who is in the news for undeclared goods this time. News has it that the Band Baaja Baaraat actress is with the custom officers right now at the Mumbai airport and is being questioned about some undeclared goods (jewelry, in particular) that she was carrying with her.

Anushka Sharma was returning from Torontowhere she was attending the IIFA Awards.

However, in the midst of all this chaos, Anushka Sharma has reason enough to celebrate. The actress has been signed on to be a part of Vishal Bhardwaj's next with Ajay Devgn in the lead. But we'll guess the celebrations will have to wait until she is out of custody and the customs issue sorted.

While Bipasha Basu paid Rs, 12600 towards custom duty, Minissha Lamba was detained at the Mumbai airport for 16 long hours for not having declared Rs. 50 lakhs worth of jewelery.

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, who was reportedly held by the custom officials at Mumbai airport for not paying customs duty for the gold and diamond studded jewelry that she was carrying, has been given a clean chit.

The newbie, who was returning from Toronto after attending the recently concluded 12th edition of the International Indian Film Awards (IIFA) got delayed with her customs formality and was not being interrogated as reported earlier.

"She was not detained. She claimed that she was carrying some watches and jewelry, so we were verifying that. So, she was delayed at the airport," a customs official confirmed to reporters.

Anushka's spokesperson said, "Anushka is not being interrogated by customs. She was carrying various accessories that were given by various brands to her. Anushka is only at the customs only to sign the formal paperwork for the borrowed accessories."
She is not the first actress to make headlines with respect to carrying jewelry at the airport. Minissha Lamba was recently held at the Mumbai airport on her return from Cannes International Film Festival.

Anushka made her debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Yah Raj's 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'. She has also worked with Shahid Kapoor in 'Badmash Company'.

Me too. If you look at all the movies she's done, she is handling her career pretty good. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Badmaash Company, Band Baaja Baaraat, Patiala House...they might all not be huge hits but they are all decent and she's improving. Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl is comping up. And now THIS movies with none other than Vishal and Ajay!! Woot Woot!!🥳 Im happy and excited for her and all the movies coming up!😊
