The episode opens with Naina confronting Ayush and protecting Akruti from him. She is like a tigress protecting her cub. Ayush has now answer for Naina, as Mansi has already left him and has threatened to break off her engagement. Akruti is in tears and says, how can she face her mother now. Naina tells her to have control over herself, as any one can make a mistake, but we can also over come the results of our actions. When she expresses of her wish to end her life, Naina scolds her and tells her to have a hold on herself.
Daksh happens to pass the office of Mr. Joshi, and goes to inquire if the case is going smoothly. The occupant of the seat, has turned his back and when Daksh asks if the case is developed, the chair turns, and faces Daksh, the occupant in none other than, a bespectacled, Sonakshi. She smiles at him and answers him, but Daksh takes her to be an employee of Mr. Joshi, and warns her that he will report her to her boss, and then Mr. Joshi, comes in and greets Daksh, and says, that he always tells his daughter not to wear his specs, but she has been like this from her childhood. Mr. Joshi assures that the case is going on fine, and shakes hands with him. Sonakshi too stretches her hand out, to him, but he looks at her askance, and says, good bye and Daksh takes his leave.
We see the ladies, busy with the preparation of the wedding, and the saree vendor has been called home with his wares, and they are selecting sarees for the wedding. At some point, Naina arrives with Akruti who goes to her room to rest, while Minoo asks her to stay back and look at the sarees and they drape some sarees on her, and immediately thereafter the groom, like a jumping jack in a striped purple and white T
Shirt, swaggers in excited at the prospects of his forth coming marriage. As he sees Daksh coming in, Abhi calls him, "Arre Daksh, you too come" and he too takes a seat next to Naina, and the face of Abhi drops. Naina tells Daksh that a green saree which she sees looks lovely, he tells her it will look nice on her, but Abhi may not like the choice. Both her future mother in law and the groom take due notice of her behavior Rohini too with there raised eyebrows, scans through the merchandise, may be cursing under her breath. Daksh asks where Akruti is, as she is missing from the group of selectors, and is told that she is taking rest, and he wants to go and see he4r, but Naina tells him a while lie, as is often the case in this serial, and others too, a dilution of the strict morality, kept high on the pedestal of the rituals and poojas. Daksh buys into Naina's explanation and does not go to see Akruti. Minoo says, Anjali is expected back any moment. In the meantime, Vibha is out shopping.
Sonakshi, barges into a gift shop, and wants to buy a gift for Daksh, and searches everywhere, but can not make up her mind. She sees the back of a lady, and goes to her and requests her to select something for a handsome and home loving young man. Her pleasant and charming ways, please the good hearted lady, and she goes with her, and after finding out the nature of the young man, she thinks a religious article would be befitting him, and she points out to a stylish statue of Lord Ganesha, and it is packed and Sonakshi thanks the lady, and goes home. We recognize the lady, and she does not know who the girl is, and neither the girl knows her. But she is the mother of the boy, whom Sonakshi wants to buy a gift for.
Vibha comes home, and joins the ladies, and they all continue to select the sarees. She has purchased some jewelry for Naina, and she puts it on her, and they all adire the new bride to be. Naina and Vibha go up with the purchases to keep them in the cup board. Suddenly, a bell rings, and Daksh is asked to open the door. As he opens, he sees his persistent, ghost of a Sonakshi, waiting at the door. Daksh stares at her, and says "You?" She with her high pitched voice says to him, "What is this, you do not know any other dialog, but 'you' ?" and does not wait for his answer, but pushes herself into the house, and greets everyone who are busy selecting the sarees. Sonakshi, introduces herself, to Minoo Tai, the serious woman, thinking she is Daksh's mother, and tells her that she came to see her. Minoo wonders who this girl is. Then she tells her that she met her son, and Minoo looks at Abhi, with suspicion, and he feels lost, as to when he met her. She tells her that she is her son's friend, and asks her whether he told her about it. Seeing that they can not understand her, she tells them, that she met her son in the bus. Minoo says, "In the bus?" Then she says, "Aunty, I have brought something for you" and digs into her bag, and just then Daksh happens to hear her, and says, that "This is my Aunt". Sonakshi apologizes and blames Daksh that he did not introduce her to any one. Abhi comes round and putting his hand round the shoulder of Daksh asks him to introduce her to everyone. when he went to Darjeeling. Daksh introduces the family to Sonakshi, one by one. When Vibha comes in, she asks, if the milk man has come, and Sonakshi replies, in a loud clear voice, "No, no, Advocate Joshi's daughter has come.' Sonakshi is jolted, as she sees the lady she saw in the shop, and Daksh introduces her as his mother. Daksh tells her that it is his mother, and she says, to make a conversatiobn, "You wanted to come back soon, so you have come now?" - actually, she has landed before her. Daksh asks his mother, whether she knows this girl, and she tells him that she met her in the gift shop. Sonakshi wants to get out of the boiler, and then says, she came to see Naina, and they ask her who gave her the address, and she says, her Papa. And they come to know she is Mr. Joshi's daughter. She tells them she came to see someone, and when she turns her head, she sees Naina and says, :Naina, you stay here?" Daksh tells her that she is their paying guest. Abhi traps her and slyly says, "So you knew Naina was staying here, since you came to see her?" Sonakshi has no answer and she wants to get out. Hurriedly she takes their leave promising to meet them again. Minoo asks Vibha who the girl is, and she tells her that she does not know much, but knows this, that she likes Daksh, and Naina looks anxious.
Naina goes to see Akruti, and offers her comfort, and a suggestion that they go to a doctor the next day, but Akruti does not like the implication, and even though Naina tells her that the child will be called illegitimate, and both of them, will have to live through this humiliation heaped on them, my the high-brow, morally upright, members of the society, - who may on all accounts have bigger skeletons hidden in their closets, but will always throw stones on others, and Naina has seen its effects first hand. Naina tells her that she has taken an appointment with the doctor, and tomorrow they are going to visit her.
In the house of Mr. Joshi, we see Sonakshi gushing in and the father tries to calm her, and then she tells him all her escapades of the day. She tells her father that she likes Daksh, and the father tells her not to tell her mother, that she met him on the bus, going to Darjeeling. Sonakshi then says something which portends something to happen soon: "If mother comes to know, I met in on the way to Darjeeling, she will raise hell. I do not understand what ruffles her when she hears the word 'Darjeeling' ! "
Anjali is going old addresses, and is searching for her Uncle Mohan's address, and sees the photographs in Naina's room and sees the one with her taken when she was 8 years old with her father, and she cries, and regrets the long years she kept her apart, without showing her any affection. She tells what she told her father, when he brought her home as a baby, "Why did not not bury her?" but he said, "For my fault, why should I punish, this innocent child, who has not done any fault?" She was young and newly married. It was this hurt which kept them from having their own children, and if she had known it then, she would have had many in her house, and with lot of fun and frolic, and she cries on the shoulder of Naina and asks her forgiveness, but Naina is over generous, and soothes her guilt feelings.

Her father's work ring loudly in Naina's ears, and she thinks, what advice she gave Akruti, was the same Anjali asked him to do, but he was a noble soul. Naina sees the irony in her attitude.
