We see the ladies, busy with the preparation of the wedding, and the saree vendor has been called home with his wares, and they are selecting sarees for the wedding. At some point, Naina arrives with Akruti who goes to her room to rest, while Minoo asks her to stay back and look at the sarees and they drape some sarees on her, and immediately thereafter the groom, like a jumping jack in a striped purple and white T


Vibha comes home, and joins the ladies, and they all continue to select the sarees. She has purchased some jewelry for Naina, and she puts it on her, and they all adire the new bride to be. Naina and Vibha go up with the purchases to keep them in the cup board. Suddenly, a bell rings, and Daksh is asked to open the door. As he opens, he sees his persistent, ghost of a Sonakshi, waiting at the door. Daksh stares at her, and says "You?" She with her high pitched voice says to him, "What is this, you do not know any other dialog, but 'you' ?" and does not wait for his answer, but pushes herself into the house, and greets everyone who are busy selecting the sarees. Sonakshi, introduces herself, to Minoo Tai, the serious woman, thinking she is Daksh's mother, and tells her that she came to see her. Minoo wonders who this girl is. Then she tells her that she met her son, and Minoo looks at Abhi, with suspicion, and he feels lost, as to when he met her. She tells her that she is her son's friend, and asks her whether he told her about it. Seeing that they can not understand her, she tells them, that she met her son in the bus. Minoo says, "In the bus?" Then she says, "Aunty, I have brought something for you" and digs into her bag, and just then Daksh happens to hear her, and says, that "This is my Aunt". Sonakshi apologizes and blames Daksh that he did not introduce her to any one. Abhi comes round and putting his hand round the shoulder of Daksh asks him to introduce her to everyone. when he went to Darjeeling. Daksh introduces the family to Sonakshi, one by one. When Vibha comes in, she asks, if the milk man has come, and Sonakshi replies, in a loud clear voice, "No, no, Advocate Joshi's daughter has come.' Sonakshi is jolted, as she sees the lady she saw in the shop, and Daksh introduces her as his mother. Daksh tells her that it is his mother, and she says, to make a conversatiobn, "You wanted to come back soon, so you have come now?" - actually, she has landed before her. Daksh asks his mother, whether she knows this girl, and she tells him that she met her in the gift shop. Sonakshi wants to get out of the boiler, and then says, she came to see Naina, and they ask her who gave her the address, and she says, her Papa. And they come to know she is Mr. Joshi's daughter. She tells them she came to see someone, and when she turns her head, she sees Naina and says, :Naina, you stay here?" Daksh tells her that she is their paying guest. Abhi traps her and slyly says, "So you knew Naina was staying here, since you came to see her?" Sonakshi has no answer and she wants to get out. Hurriedly she takes their leave promising to meet them again. Minoo asks Vibha who the girl is, and she tells her that she does not know much, but knows this, that she likes Daksh, and Naina looks anxious.

In the house of Mr. Joshi, we see Sonakshi gushing in and the father tries to calm her, and then she tells him all her escapades of the day. She tells her father that she likes Daksh, and the father tells her not to tell her mother, that she met him on the bus, going to Darjeeling. Sonakshi then says something which portends something to happen soon: "If mother comes to know, I met in on the way to Darjeeling, she will raise hell. I do not understand what ruffles her when she hears the word 'Darjeeling' ! "
Anjali is going old addresses, and is searching for her Uncle Mohan's address, and sees the photographs in Naina's room and sees the one with her taken when she was 8 years old with her father, and she cries, and regrets the long years she kept her apart, without showing her any affection. She tells what she told her father, when he brought her home as a baby, "Why did not not bury her?" but he said, "For my fault, why should I punish, this innocent child, who has not done any fault?" She was young and newly married. It was this hurt which kept them from having their own children, and if she had known it then, she would have had many in her house, and with lot of fun and frolic, and she cries on the shoulder of Naina and asks her forgiveness, but Naina is over generous, and soothes her guilt feelings.

Her father's work ring loudly in Naina's ears, and she thinks, what advice she gave Akruti, was the same Anjali asked him to do, but he was a noble soul. Naina sees the irony in her attitude.
