Urvashi Dholakia, who made waves with her vampish Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, will now be seen on the big screen. Her south film, Swapnam, has been dubbed in Hindi and will release soon.

Nurse curse

The actress feigns ignorance when quizzed about the release of Swapnam, titled Chumban — The Kiss, in the dubbed version. She plays a raunchy nurse in the film, who smooches the paralysed hero (Prashant) to restore him to normalcy.

"There is nothing wrong in playing a raunchy or bitchy character, if required," says Urvashi. "Regarding this dubbed film, I have not yet seen the publicity posters, so I am unaware of it."

Same name

However, producer Rajendra's spokespersons, Shabeer and Prasad, say, "Urvashi Dholakia has shot for this bold social thriller, which was released in the south to a fairly good response. We are planning to release the already censored Hindi version in due course." Not surprisingly, they have highlighted Urvashi's screen name as Komolika!

Urvashi will now be seen as Noyonika in Rishton Ki Dorr (Sony), directed by Gautam Adhikari, and starting next week. In her new avatar, she is married to Anuj Saxena's character (Suhas Abhyankar) and has an extramarital fling.

"This is not just a vampish character. It has different shades. But yes, it's bold and bohemian, with a slight shock value. But Noyonika is nothing like Komolika, she says.

"In sheer contrast to Komolika, I have not worn sarees, but trendy western and ethnic outfits. Even the make-up is not loud or garish," explains Dholakia.
