Mumbai: Producer Boney Kapoor, who has delivered blockbusters like 'No Entry' and 'Wanted' in the recent past seems to have landed himself in troubled waters.
Buzz has it that the producer has decided to take up a job at an age when people contemplate retiring. The 56 year old husband of Bollywood diva Sridevi is believed to be facing financial crunch.
Talking to a daily, a source revealed, "Looks like Sri and Boney are facing a cash crunch. Boney's two movies 'No Entry' and 'Wanted' did extremely well at the Box Office but his borrowings on two other films, one of which is an incomplete venture starring Genelia D'Souza and Harman Baweja, have reportedly run him into a financial muddle."
The elder brother of Anil Kapoor ran into a financial mess and one of the reasons that contributed to this is his 'high maintenance' better half. In a desperate attempt to repay his debts, Boney has made up his mind to join the TV department of a reputed banner and has struck a handsome deal as compensation.
Reportedly, Sridevi has a weakness for expensive clothes and she visits a beauty centre once a week without fail along with her elder daughter Jahnvi. If the news that is doing rounds is to be believed, the Kapoors spend a whopping 25 lakhs on a monthly basis.
"The Kapoors run a fleet of cars, take five-star holidays to Europe/ America each year and also dine out very often. Sri, who ruled Bollywood for a decade, is a very high-maintenance wife. She will not compromise on her lifestyle", an insider said.
And the fact that Sri is all set to make a comeback soon does make one wonder what prompted her to make such a decision almost after a decade of quitting films!
