Some good analysis, i watched Parineeta as well, and i think to a certain extent ur right mt, i also think Bani will leave due to her pride and Jai will have to woe her before she agrees to come back.

parineeta is one of favorite movies of all time! cant get enough of it. but i dont find any similarities from the characters of that movie and with characters of this show. Shekhar/Lolita loved each other since childhood! they both knew it too in my opinion. Like they knew they belong only to each other. In this show, Bani never loved jai and he's much much older than her obviously and she only starts liking jai AFTER marriage! until then he was only Jai SIR to her. so yea that's my opinion anyway

I agree, Jai and Shekar are plain DIFFICULT. Bani & Lolita are very similar in terms of their enduring nature and inner strenght.
I was thinking about the same when Jai-Bani got married again exchnaing chains... it was very similar to the way Shekar & Lolita got married.

I find the streak of stubborness and insecurity that Shekhar Rai's character had to be totally idential to Jai Walia's character! And yes, Lolita and Bani share the same quiet dignity and strenght of character! Now to see if Bani will love Jai as much as Lolita loved Shekhar!

Btw, I wasn't commenting on comparing Shekhar-Lolita's relationship with Jai-Bani, I was only comparing the nuances of their characters!

Shekhar-Lolita's relationship was something entirely different than what Jai and Bani share, but their are inevitable similarities between all the four protogonists!
