Foreign actresses in Bollywood

Except for Zarine and Shraddha Kapoor and the south indian actresses all the newcomers come from abroad and if not then still they have never learned hindi...

I count:

Claudia Ciesla
Bruna Abdullah
Giselli Monteiro
Caterine Lopez
Angela Jonsson (born in Chennai but can't speak any indian language)
Amy Jackson
Camila Granato
Taciane Matos

And there are definitely lots more. Now I'm not saying this is a bad thing. Even hollywood has javier bardem and vincent cassell. But I don't get the following:

1. Why aren't there any foreign ACTORS?
2. So let's say I want to become a heroine. Should I hide the fact that I speak and understand hindi? Cuz it seems directors find the foreign girls more interesting.
3. Film making already cost a lot of time. So why the hell do these producers and directors cast actresses who don't know the language and know nothing about india and the movies? It seems to me casting an indian girl would save lots of time and money. Honest is honest: Katrina takes much more time dubbing then deeps, sonam, anushka, priyanka etc.
4. When you are indian but live outside of india and you have children you learn your kids about the language through bollywood movies. Look how gorgeous Karishma is and she speaks so nice hindi. So what are parents supposed to say now? Look how gorgeous Katrina is and she speaks so nice hindi. Answer of your child: No mummy she always speaks english in interviews. Mummy: Damn I forgot she doesn't feels comfortable speaking hindi. Okay no problem let's watch a movie of Kajol.
However choosing the name of an other actress might get difficult in the future considering the invasion of foreign actresses.

Well I'm not the only one complaining:

I find this situation kind of funny. India has enough and more pretty girls who can probably act as well, so yeah why bring in a foreign chick who can neither act/speak the language.
Theres absolutley nothing wrong with someone of another nationaly trying their hand in indian cinema given they can pull of the role well and can act, work hard etc etc. But i think this phenomenon of non-indian girls who cant speak hindi acting in bollywood elevates the superficiality of our country, and our inherinent need to portray Indians as everything but indians. Perhaps these girls come knowing that bollywood is just looking for a pretty face, and they can fluke a good film if they look desi and look hot. Its upsetting, we should encourage actors of all sorts from all different nationalities, but please encourage it for the right reasons. To make the industry richer and equipped with talented people, not just a string of models.

i have heard it 😭 it sounds awful with all those heavy accents. By the way i admit claudia will never happen.

I forgot Hazel Keech!!!

And why are all these wannabes using names of superstars to gain fame?

Angela Jonssen and Ranbir
Evelyn Sharma and Prateik Babbar
Hazel Keech and Salman (clearly BS, but she didn't deny obviously)

yup, I agree . I don't see the reason to get foreign girls to act in bollywood movies. But the thing is most foreigners don't really get a full fledged role, all they do is item numbers.

Personally i feel that

a) the directors, producers, etc... are stupid for feeding the audiences crap like this

b) audiences are lowering their standards by watching stuff like it

I mean if you are gonna work in Hindi films for more than 1 film, at least KNOW the language...

I don't like foreign actress in bollywood. They have accents and their dialogue delivery sucks because of it...so they ruin the film for me. Kalki for example, she is a good actress (a natural one) but I have hard time understanding what she says when she speaks in hindi. And she just sounds awkward.

Like someone said above, when we have a lot of indian girls wanting to make it in bollywood, why bring in foreign ones?

Kalki is indian...only from french ascendance. She was born in the south. Her initial language is tamil. She learnt hindi in 2009 but she can speak it fluently.
