Usually great singers have been singing all their life times..Some singers have their career shortened due to some reason but they were good..

Do you remember any of the singer who was real good but could not last long because of some politics or any other reasons..

or you had liked a particular singer and wanted him to have rocked more on the musical scene

or you feel there is a singer who is just wasting your time by sitting there...

Give your views please😕

Vani Jairam is a classic example whose career was destroyed by none other than our Great Lataji. There are many female singers whose careers were destroyed by Lataji. She even tried to destroy her own sister Ashaji. But Asha ji was a class apart and was unstoppable.

You are absolutely correct. This song from Guddi was simply mindblowing.

This was the very song that made Lata ji insecure.

Vani Jayram was exceptional.. Apart from Bole re Paphihara, I think even 'Humko man ki shakti dena' was rendered by her flawlessly... There was another singer with great potential who never came up courtesy Lata'ji was Suman Kalyanpur.. There are some songs of Suman'ji where u can hardly differentiate her from Lata'ji... 'Aaj ki raat na jaa' I thought was always sung by Lata'ji.. It was much later that I found out it was Suman Kalyanpur.. She was brilliant

I can't say that career of Suresh Wadkar is very short but some what his voice was not used the way it could be used

Couldn't agree more Dawn - Suresh Wadekar has a brilliant voice that was never utilized to the potential.. Can't just get over listening to 'Shyam dhale Gagan tale' from Utsav or 'Surmai shyam is tarah aaye' from Lekin.. Sad that we have not heard more of such classics
