That Cervical pain is killing him. Desperately doing the neck drill but his shut eyes stand testimony to the fact that its not helping. And as if this wasn't enough, the creatives had to go and add a bullet wound to the upper arm...
(Just because he valiantly obliges doesn't mean you treat his arms as bullet-cushions!)
No wonder Dutta's Sher-E-Patilwadi aura seems to be slowly trickling away.

The situation is such, that these days even Roops confidently ignores his screaming sessions...Gusse mein Bhau kisi ki baat nehi sunte...isiliye unhe samjhane ka bhi koi maatlab nahi hota hai...(the girl these days is acting intelligent too!!!..Aisa bhi toh ho sakta hai Vahini ki isska aasli naam Madhurupali hai aur usse pyaar se Rupali bulate ho?..So smart na!!)
Today Dutta's Satara expedition was shot down as a flawed project and he reluctantly let go!!!! Had these been his pre spondylosis days, would such a meek submission be imaginable? I mean throw your mind back to the Anna track. A super power like Kala had tried pulling every string but failed in stopping him from leaving at the death of night. But post the kink kicking in, the same man can't even force a simple thing like...Baji Gaadi nikal...on the rest of the crowd.
Can we blame him for being furious with life and wives right now?
Any lesser man would have done the smart thing and rested on those lime green and lemon yellow pillows and bedspread with the shades drawn. Not Dutta. No way. He had to himself take the wheel when driving down to Mandangarh. (do none of the BGs qualify as a decent driver?) And once there, what does he see? Balu Dada has already stolen his thunder. As much as he might have detested that, Dutta being ultimately a fair man had to acknowledge the justification of the theft. Per load wahi pe bad gaya na! Then the two dallaas put him off completely. Baji being away on saabki marzi ki sair-sapata, Dutta had to take upon himself the ugly task of interrogating and given his patience, the end result was more blood on his hands.
Here loved how Baji understood his anger, which was as much for the absence of any clue on Sanjayrao and the flesh trade as it was for having taken another life. So he just let the cutting remarks be. You see had Baji wanted, he could have answered each Q.
Dutta: Kitni din aur sochne wala hai tu Baji?
Baji: Hyla! woh bimari mereko kab laagi?
Dutta: Kya hua kya hai tujhe? Dhyaan kidhar hai tera?
Baji: (shyly rubbing right cheek with right hand) Mereko kya hua duniya ko malum Bhau, Mera dhyan baas tere pe re! (dimples twiching)
Dutta: Sanjayrao ka naam sunte hi tere muh pe taala kyon lag jata hai?
Baji: Kyon ki Sanjayrao ki burai pe saala mereko doubt hai. Pan tu samjhe ga nehi.
Dutta: Kya abhi bhi tujhe Nana ke peeche jana hai? Udhar hi hai na tera dhyaan baji?
Baji: Ho Bhau. Devashappat! Kya raapchick ishtylewale hain. Kaapde dekhe unke?
But instead he concentrated on Dutta's health saying gently yet firmly that he will take out that car, but go alone...tera ghav bharne de...
At night too the man doesn't complain about having to leave for satara at the break of dawn.
Rather makes a joke about his killing workload.
I found two pointers that indicated Dutta is severly preoccupied.
1.Aaj agar woh Balu waqt pe Mandangarh nehi pohachta to...here firstly Dutta given his nature, too easily grants Balu his due credit. In case of Jagtaap, Dutta had taken a lot longer to come up with a grudging..touche'.. Secondly how come Dutta is not curious about Balu, his might, his Bhaugiri and his audacious ways with...the Dutta Sriram Patil??!!? I mean its Dutta's territory, right? He's the Raja. So he should have asked for this unknown factor's janam kundli too na?
(It would have been interesting to note Dutta's play of expressions when he found out Balu had the surname Naik attached to him)
2. Dutta failing to notice Naku inside their room.
The "Aye Naku...Darr mat..." had resonances of a scene sooo etched in memory that for a minute I was lost in flash backs..then the ..'Kuch nehi huya hai mujhe"... brought me back to the happenings on the screen. Arre Dutta saheb woh darr nahi rahi hai, balki aapko marinate kar rahi hai, ta ki Damodar Patil, Sawantwadi aur caretaker Kaka ki kahani aap bina chillaye sun sako.Aur aapni adiyal pan se bahar nikal ke soch sako...she's trying to lead you somewhere. But guess her marinade needed some more vinegar. Dutta's adiyal pan didn't get properly tenderized.
Madhu, Roops and Baji started out like kids with some forbidden volume. Baji's confusion with..kya likhte hain ladki log.. was super sweet. Really, what does this man know or care about what women want? His lone concern being what his Bhau wants.
Madhu's...Main nehi padh saakti..shows how sensitive this girl is.
Today I felt really bad for Madhu and Madhurupali.
Madhu's sole anchor in life till date has been her unwavering faith in her father's goodness. And now that faith is being challenged. Not easy, when you world's turning upside down. Madhurupali tale of love, betrayal, hurt and loss is so poignant and familiar that it leaves you shaken.
Good to see Baji successfully adding up the information to reach a logical conclusion on Damodar.
Uski Dimag ka load kam hua...but as for Dutta getting Shanti...pehle woh shanti se saari baatein sune tabhi na!! uske baad bhi...shanti aur Dutta ka chatees wala ankra bhi to hai!!
I too agree, Dhande ka baki locha sultane Sanjayrao ko dhund nikalna zaroori hai.
Pan guthiyan sultane ki jaldi nakko mujhe...
Baji, tu ne Athara din liya hai na? kam se kam aur chatees duni athara din laga...
