Hi friends - today's episode (8th June 2011) reminded me of all the different pressures faced by youngsters - pressures at home (even if udibaba's ghost mansion is not your typical family home), pressures from peers, pressures of new emotions (love, getting to know a guy/girl closely, fights, making up etc etc) and college/studies related pressures... it is a wonder so many of us escape unscathed from those years...
I have known professors like Rupesh sir who make it their business to "punish" students for trivial issues - there was one prof who failed two of my classmates (a boy and a girl) because he had seen them take the same bus together everyday - please!
I also was sceptical about Rits's approach to Anant - agreed she is trying to galvanise him into action, but she does not know the whole story! For eg she does not know Anant being under pressure at home to get engaged. So I felt it became all too uncomfortable for Anant and put him under even more pressure... It made me feel that this was the downside of the friends coming to know about AnYa...I was so missing Ranbir in that scene today, he would've calmed down Rits and made her look at the problem from Anant's perspective as well...
Also, there seem to be no elders to whom AnYa can communicate - in Anant's case at least his bro seems a sensible sort, but neither of them feels they can talk about their emotions to their parents - even though both mums are calm, friendly types...isn't that sad? Or may be AnYa feel the time isn't right? Or talking to their mums might make matters worse? Don't know...
At least today's episode did a good job of highlighting how complicated it is to be a teenager...
Sorry for the long post, couldn't stop myself - I see dark rain clouds gathering in AnYa's world, hope things get back on track for them soon...
