What a twist of fate - and hurt, anger and pain - all around it seems
Seems like everything slowly slowly is being burnt to ashes...
I think this quote fits here in a way
"In the space between yes and no, there's a lifetime. It's the difference between the path you walk and the one you leave behind; it's the gap between who you thought you could be and who you really are; its the legroom for the lies you'll tell yourself in the future."
Kes-Gulaal scene was the one to watch (its more impactful in dialogues more then anything and to understand them and what its saying) - i want to say i totally got Kesar's outburst on the chunar coz i think he was right in how he saw it and how he feels - that if she didnt want it and took as pitying him and giving it to Talli and that she can now stop playing games then it might as well be burnt and turned to ashes... that from his pov and wanted Gulaal to witness this , but we also know that Gulaal didnt take it for pitying as such, she didnt give it just like that to Talli and like she says she feels that chunar only has Talli's right on it, and also the fact that Talli had seen it before... Kesar was manhandling her today and when he pushed her back, the shock on her face, it must of hurt, coz the grip on her arm felt harsh in a way
Seeing Gulaal breaking down and you can see things are falling apart and in what is happening
"Sometimes I think the human heart is just a simple shelf. There is only so much you can pile onto it before something falls off an edge and you are left to pick up the pieces."
' Jodi Picoult (House Rules)
When i saw this Kesar's outburst on the chunar it made me think of this -
"I wondered what happened when you offered yourself to someone, and they opened you, only to discover you were not the gift they expected and they had to smile and nod and say thank you all the same."
' Jodi Picoult (My Sister's Keeper)
Finally Kesar knows that K-T alliance was fixed years ago, and that to by Gulaal giving Talli the promise, and you sensed that Kesar thinks there is an enitrely different reason why she wanted the marriage then just think K-T would make a nice couple and make good life-partners, and he is thinking on the lines of Gulaal wanting something else, and the hint is D. The way he asks what about you, what about your world/your life - seeing as she wanted to set Talli's world/life up only coz Talli loved him, and was attached to him and grew up wanting to marry him, but what exactly was going in her mind and what did Gulaal want (and lets not forget that he thinks now Gulaal's problem with chunar is over and that she is playing a game) - this is what Kesar is thinking on and hinting to her when he asks her, and even though he didnt say it - the name was Dushyant, thats why later on he went to seek answers from D, but what he got was Raman who just made it worse more then anything and implied things about Gulaal and her life and needing a man - and the way Raman twisted to make it sound so real, what Raman said i think anybody would believe coz half of the truth is that D loved Gulaal - and the deeyavatu was going to happen with D (but only Gulaal knows how and why it came to the deeyavatu point, and this is something Kesar hasnt thought of yet, alot of things was going on in that house and ppl in there)
I somewhere think no Kesar dont think of Gulaal as what Raman is saying but then again i like i said, what Raman says seems so real and makes sense to Kesar in his pov, and how he sees D and Gulaal and what he heard years ago and everything that has happened mainly with the head of village thing and so on. We saw the hurt in Kesar's eyes - when the camera gave us a shot of his eyes - filled with tears when he heard D loved Gulaal, and he wanted to marry her...
Kesar's dilemma is so confusing in what he thinks as such - but we the audiences knows that coz ppl like Raman are stirring things and Kesar's assumptions are well vague and not trut but he thinks and sees from his pov is not wrong as well (i hope that made sense lol) coz what he has seen and heard seems so real in a sense and also vulnerable as well at the moment and it hurts him even more coz we all know Gulaal is so important for him that he doesnt even realise it, he still hasnt got it - or realise most of the emotions he feels and endures is for Gulaal and that its what people in love feel
When he came and years he has been away, it was tormenting him on how can cant hate and also care and need her at the same, and it made me think of this quote
Can i say i liked how they did Talli's scene with the song, even though it had to be Talli in it to have that scene - its the way it was done (was it a movie song or made for the serial?), but in a way you got to feel for her - i mean she has dreamed of marryign Kesar and so on and the shock she got today, and seriously i dont think she will think or understand what is happening and why Kesar doesnt love her... looks like she has got her hands on the letters and she brought it to Gulaal's room and hid them in a bag, and i hoping somehow Gulaal will get her hands on them now - in the near future or something, those letters are Kesar's soul written on them
PRECAP - Kesar probably holding Gulaal and close up of him asking that D wanted to marry her, even the deeyavatu was suppose to happen with him and that she said no and that she had found out about his bad intentions and so on and knew something that has changed your life etc (looks like little by little Kesar is letting out what he knows, but i dont see him totally confessing to what he knows with the whole truth)
Kesar again in a way even in the first scene - talks in riddles and says what he wants in assumptions, and is very much afraid to hear the truth, despite wanting to, seeing as this was highlighted few weeks back
"Sometimes, when you don't ask questions, it's not because you are afraid that someone will lie to your face. It's because you're afraid they'll tell you the truth."
I think Kesar himself is gonna gonna declare to marry Talli, as of now i see this option that Kesar will take, angrily and impulsively... after what he think he has come to conclusion that Gulaal wants D and so on
As i said Kesar makes that decision of marrying (unless MB asks him in a way after if we see Talli going off the rails lol), i dont see actual forcing coming from Gulaal in a way esp seeing today first scene where she got to know that he doesnt see Talli as more and doesnt love her and never ever thought about it, and like she says what i am gonna tell Talli... but as we in the last scene Gulaal somewhat realises Talli must of heard her and Kesar's conversation
I think day Kesar learns all that Gulaal endured back then, before and after the deeyavatu and finding out about D - its when he will completely break down and it will hurt so much that he somewhat lost that faith on Gulaal and what he thought of her and said to her and for Gulaal i think she will only realise Kesar's turmoil and heartbreak and pain, when she sees the letters and understands them, and puts together after that has happened the day he went and the lead up to him leaving and after he came back and how he has been around her and around D and what he has had to live with over the years and how much it has tortured him and how much he kept it to himself... Gulaal will realise the depth of Kesar then in a way and understand that part of him
