There are two ways of looking at this - regarding souten scenario..

Now many of you are scared (so am I)... That baba's attitude and hatred can lead to him accepting someone else's hand in marriage and then the character of Baba WOULD be dead for us, because we will be betrayed.

The other way you look at his hatred is that, HE is doing all this is because he loves her beyong his wildest imagination and control - Hence another woman cannot even enter his heart. There is really no room for anyone else.

i'll go with the second one(bettr say,i wish).coz,till nw i believe that he believes that he is destroying everything in the name that he dont wanna see anything wich reminds him of prats.but the truth is that he lubs her so much that he is frustrated nthat he is unable to see her...there is no place for another woman here...
