Superstar would definitely be a person who had an extraordinary impact on your life,the way you think and the way you behave,giving you some reason to beleive in, something to look upto and also motivation to do something creative and constructive.

1) My childhood superstar and now nothing less than God,Sachin Tendulkar has always been a motivation and an individual who,with his special talent made millions smile,I remember when he use to score runs,people use to say "Aaj din bangaya"irrespective of how bad the day was for them in reality,but his success brought smiles and joy giving fans a reason to celebrate.Even I did.

2) Madhuri Dixit,my first crush as a kid or teenager,first signs of following your fav
superstar from entertainment and in those days it was more of collecting post card posters and hiding them from parents becasue they would shout for this act or even if they would not,I was very shy to express I loved Madhuri Dixit.

3) Kajol.she was my only female superstar till Drashti Dhami arrived as Geet on small screen,my love for Kajol was more becasue of her acting skills and her strong personality and particularly the way she has managed her personal and professional life and is a succesfull actress who is also a great house wife.

4) I was always into sports,footbal is my passion and I was introduced to it by David Beckham

"Only after watching bend it like Beckham" I came to know what English football is all
about,year 2003 till date and I am a die hard Manchester United fan and for me the craze is on par with that for Indian Cricket team.


5) Hrithik Roshan,when Kaho naa pyaar hai arrived,,Hrithik Mania was all over India and I still remember watching Kahoo naa in Rahul theatre ( Pune) an actor with perfect looks and exceptional talent had arrived and suddenly guys were found more in Gyms and also polishing their dancing skills,dancing to tunes of Ek pal ka Jeena got me alot of recognition in school and junior college but more than that it was Hrithik's shere determination and acts in Lakshya which made him a SuperStar for me.

6)Aamir Khan,the name in himself defines what cinema and entertainment is all about and no need to describe the impact he and his films have had,a perfect blend of art and commercial success with a message in most of his films.

7) Drashmeet,an over statement or definition,well despite so much talked and unnecessary link ups,I feel what has clicked is "Drashmeet" both when seperate are great and too good,but when together are exceptional,so good that the best known couples would admire them and say "what a pair"

I have mentioned all those names because Drashti Dhami finds herself standing tall amongst the greats in this list,my credibility as a fan to define the list and make Drashti Dhami a part of it might not be defined, but my choice of superstars will give an idea about the credibility and potential of this young and very vibrant actress Drashti Dhami.

Irrespective of what happens with Geet as a series,because the recent episodes disappointed me alot and I thought Drashti's image as an actress was not complemented and so was her character Geet.

But as an actress she is certainly someone special,becasue she makes you fall in love when she smiles,when she cries,when she talks and when she connects through eyes with Maan as Geet and her pairing with Gurmeet is just beyond description,how addictive one can get when they come together onscreen is beyond my capability to define it,becasue of lack of proper vercab.

But like all those superstars,she had an impact on my life too,though to start with a
personal reason but now its only her potential which makes me call her a superstar.

Drashti without anydoubt has that talent which is very similar to what Madhuri and Kajol had and provided that she gets some decent and decisive characters to play as,she will be no where lagging behind the standards set by the former two and she has already proven that with Geet.

She as Geet has given moments to cherish and archive for ever in our hearts and Guru's contribution is no where lagging behind,together they have made fan's bad day turn good and make them feel "Aaj din bangaya" when something very passionate is shown involving Guru and Drashti.

She is already the most followed female TV star and this would have been impossible if she did not had that 'X' factor in her.

Oppurtunity is very crucial and Drashti Dhami needs more of these to give Bolly dollies a
run for their place.I wont say others dont have it in them,but Drashti has a bit more and that bit more becomes alot more when she is with Guru.

As Geet with Maan,they are the only reason to watch Geet( which is one Golden era in the darkness spread by daily soaps) and a major reason to sit and write and motivate the makers to do justice with Geet.It would be unfair if I dont mention Guru's name becasue without him as Maan,Drashti is incomplete as Geet and together they have mananged to do which will always be remembered in years to come.

Lots of love,passion,motivation and support not just from me but also from my family members to you our only female superstar.

Keep rocking Drashti and surely you are my sweetheart,whom I will be supporting and even criticise but only constructive criticism.

Unknowingly you along with Guru have helped me alot and it is nothing less than a favour,unknowingly celebrities do alot for their fans and this article is only my way of conveying thanks and gratitude.

Dont go by the literal meaning of crush,I adore Drashti for her acting skills and to be frank I am a bit partial too,aur thoda sa aur personal reason bhi,toh thoda soft corner toh banta hai boss,anyways that counts for only a small percentage,genuinely after Kajol I have not seen any actress with that fire power in her eyes and capability of doing something big with right platform offered.

Smriti Irani was one who is a strong personality,Priyanka is Good,Genelia Dsouza cute (tom boy) types but never had such strong feeling of being a fan,follow your star and support your star no matter what the circumstances are,that is what I feel for Drashti Dhami.

From teenage craze for Madhuri Dixit to more performance oriented appreciation for Drashti,I have understood the practical reality of a relationship that a fan and his Icon share,so in a more matured manner,I had come out of that go crazy,pull your hair and cry and shout loudly stuff for your Icon,I dont mean that is stupid,but I am out of it.

Well,

Comes Miss Dhami as "Geet" running through the feilds of Punjab and her journey of life from Dev to the Super sensational Maan Singh Khurana,where she unknowingly steals millions of hearts all over as "Geet" and her magical pairing with Gurmeet as "Maan" spreading the pandemic effect called "Maaneet Effect" taking me back to teenage days,I am 27 now but at times I feel like 17'teen when I watch her as Geet and no doubt I will be supporting her in her future ventures,particularly with Gurmeet as her co star,they rock together onscreen,no one can match their chemistry.

There is very little that I know about offscreen life of Drashti Dhami,apart from that she she is fond of KSG as a friend,likes pani puri and she wants a handsome guy,who is family oriented and the best part who will give her his credit card to shop whatever and whenever she wants,lets her stay with her parents for 5 days and 2 days with him on weekends offcourse,I wish you soon get your Dream Man.

I would love to know more of offscreen life of Drashti and Gurmeet,as a fan it is always a memorable experience listening to the real life experiences of your beloved reel stars.I hope the makers listen to it,some show similar to "Jeena isika naam hai"

Anyways,I can go on and on in praise for Drashti,but would mention that "Geet" is immortal and Drashti will always be remembered alongwith Gurmeet for their role as Geet and Maan and Maaneet together have given me enough reasons to love them,follow them and trust them when it comes to entertainment and call myself a Drashti Dhami fan.

Would love to see her in cool college life based shows and particulary in Comedy Circus in near future,films will eventually be the final destination.

Though it is true that I am an admirer of Drashti Dhami and keep her right up there at the top whenever I write,but I am an admirer of Gurmeet as well,becasue together they are just irresistable and no addiction can match the one these two God's gift have given millions,who smash their heads,pull their hair,crib,shout and at the end of the day,just becasue they love Drashti and Gurmeet together,wait like craazies as if the whole world and their life depends on what will be shown at 9.30 pm,starone in the show Geet where two leads named
Drashti and Gurmeet are playing the role of Maan and Geet and have reached heights,respect, love and passion in their fans hearts to an extent which wud be envied by any other person in the same profession,forget profession boss..

Maan and Geet are nothing less than those love birds,romeo and juliet,heer ranjha and many more which I have been hearing since days when I gained senses and did not even know what love is.

My natural liking is for Drashti Dhami but it is also true that I cant see her more perfect and complete with any other actor except Gurmeet and I am so stubborn in my vision for her that I dont want to see any other actor with her..

That is stupid from me,but such is the vision that the moment you take the either of the one out,the feel becomes alien and irrespective of how good the other person is as an actor you feel,hmmm no,Gurmeet hi hona chahiye...

Who for me few months ago when heard brought out an expression

Drashti Dhami who?

Only later to realise she was the one I was waiting to idolise as an actress after Kajol and now I keep saying

""Dude you dont know Drashti Dhami !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

My liking for her would be more of a true friend and a well wisher who wants his friend to be at the top and is a constant motivator.Anyways with audiences getting smarter,the relationship between a fan and an Icon is no more that of a dream boy or a girl and has moved on from that point to being an unkown true friend,a well wisher who knows his icon but his icon is unaware of him.

I had never seen Drashti before,only to realise later she is the same who was in that add "googly woogly woosh" and that music video sayiyaan dil mein,where I always wondered why that video concentrated more on tanushree and not on the other two cute faces which clicked and to my surprise Drashti was one of them.

The realisations later on brought out surprise and expression,"Ohh teri,yeh iss mein bhi thi"

I saw "Nachle soniye tu" from Shael and I loved Drashti in it,specially her attitude when she makes Shael follow her was great,but again,did not know who she was..

"Bhappi da's madhuri dixit song,Humko in red...

All these brought smiles and feeling you never know who comes out of blue to touch your heart only to realise you have seen the one before.

I had this initial connection with Drashti becasue she also reminded me of my fav actress "Kulraaj Randhawa" from "Kareena Kareena" on Zee which aired between 2004 and 2005 but I had forgotten the series name becasue I was not a keen or regular follower,just watched it occassionally,but i liked her and was upset because that series went off air suddenly and I missed the actress.

But it took good long 70 odd episodes to finall follow a daily soap and was just becasue of Drashmeet and offcourse Drashti in particular...
