My heart went out to Khanak more than it did to Shaan, in that moment yesterday, when Shaan lay cushioned in Khanak's lap...
As Shaan found solace in Khanak, I couldnt help but wonder what a long journey this young girl has traversed too...
From a woman who gradually got the pieces of her life together...to constantly being the 'man' in the relationship...
Khanak is Shaan's 'inner voice', no two ways about it!...she has always been there for him in his darkest hour of need...from their meeting at the Dhulwadi temple to the tough times that surround them now...
Yep! The renewal of the marriage vows will be symbolic of the beginning of a new journey, and yet again, prove to Shaan that his greatest strength is indeed his Khanak! 😊
Only pray that there comes a day in the future that Khanak too can turn to Shaan, to be her pillar of strength, too...to be comforted in equal measure as she always has...
The other day, when Shaan did not simply walk away despite being engulfed in his own woes...instead, returned to Khanak as she tried reaching out to him...gave me hope of the newfound selfless Shaan...
Sincerely hope that this growth continues...for this equation to be truly that of equals!
