X factor is widely appreciated for defying the boundaries of music and giving chance to all age groups and all genres.
While I appreciate the Neel-e-kanth's efforts to sing a prayer song, considering the competition and the show as a whole, from a listener POV, I did not really find anything that much exciting or new to offer. It was just simple, flat plain vanilla track that was chosen considering the audition for the show and given their potential, a proper high pitched qawwali would have been more listenable and noteworthy.
For this performance, they did not deserve to get selected. They could have done much better than that. Lets see how they sustain in the long run but I suspect whether they can pull off.
But overall I do not support the decision of "yes".
