I was wondering why so many of the people in the Bidaai forums are so against gulaal? I was searching gulaal forums on google (because i am such a die-hard gulaal fan 😃), and came across many IF topics in Bidaai sections. many of the members (i wouldnt say all) mostly demeaned Gulaal, and rejoiced at news of gulaal ending. 😭 or, they posted trp charts & chatted about how bad gulaal is doing, and how it'll never touch the successes that bidaai had touched. 😡

that was really upsetting to read b/c i was once a fan of bidaai too. even then, i thought gulaal would have a lot of potential and i whole-heartedly accepted the show.

and ofc, gulaal lived up to all of our expectations! <3
gulaal has only been on air for 6 months. surely, it deserves more time.

if any bidaai fans are reading this, please dont hate on gulaal b/c bidaai ended. if you're not going to give it a chance, at least don't hate on it/ bash it. im not trying to be mean or offend anyone 😳 so please don't get mad/offended by me 😊

anyways, i don't know if this was even a question. i don't even know if it's a good discussion topic. i just had to get that off my chest i guess...lol 😛

but on a sadder note...no gulaal today but, i'll still be watching older episodes of gulaal on youtube

I can understand your pain😭...ppl can watch mindless shows just based on saas bahu drama but star plus has been partial to gulaal...it neither promotes the show nor the jodi...Actually gulaal is carved for a niche audience...who hate kitchen politics being served in the name of entertainment.😡.😡...me too gonna watch older episodes...😊

Cheer up dear, not everyone has the maturity to gracefully accept change. We have the right to feel happy/sad about the show we love but we can't be bashing others for that. At least not to the extent that you seem to mention.
Cheer up and enjoy Gulaal

thank you for replying manzilmukul! :)
i really do agree with you. gulaal needs more promotion! star plus isn't helping gulaal's case in any way what so ever 😡
saas-bahu dramas are so yesterday 😉 gulaal is what tv shows should be all about- freshness and innovation 😊

lol...do u guys remember the kind of show bidaai was??? sure, it started out great...and then we all know what happened...the 'sisters bond' was not what was was primarily important...

anywayz...these saas-bahu sagas typically do manage to attract a younger audience as well because some of them are so mindless that no one has to put in any brain power to understand anything...and the ones who discuss online and are dissing gulaal are the younger, immature fans...so yeah, don't worry about it too much...

I so agree bidaai started so great but again messed up...look at what happened to pratigya...it started with a young girl ...who was educated...stood up against eve teasing...but finally the show ended up showing her the same bahu cooking...fighting against her mother in law and saural politics...isnt it apalling to show women only good for living up to the perfect DIL as if they have no purpose but to make tasty food and dress up nicely...similarly dor...again shows a wicked mother in law...I dont un derstand why sp dosent promote kes gul jodi...😡

Thank you for replying gauri! :) you have a great point there...bidaai did eventually turn into the same kitchen politics show. 😕 i love how gulaal has not tread on that path yet. and seeing how different of a show gulaal is, i am sure it won't ever go into ghise-pite kitchen politics 😊
i guess SP knows that saas-bahu mindless stuff are a sure-shot hit. that's why they wont promote gulaal, unfortunately.
trp trp trp, is that all the channels can think about? 🤢

It happens, it happens all the time. People start liking a serial and then somehow it becomes an us vs them - it's very strange.
People who like rom coms run down the saas bahus; those who like something light like Genda Phool start pouring hate on a more intense Pratigya.

Especially if one serial takes over at the the same slot, then god help the new one! 😆😆 And this is particularly if the old one is sort of forcibly shut down to make way. In the case of Bidaai, it was the production house's decision, right? and they ended very gracefully, so don't understand the problem.
anyway, people seem to need a lot of time to come to terms with change or even stuff that they don't like. We just have to let them be, I guess 😛😃
