Thanks blokes--for this thread
For us Radha-Krishna epitomizes love, eternal love..Rukhmini story did not take center stage...

This post made me go and read more about Rukhmini Sandesh and found the "translation" of Rukhmini Sandesh...

THE LOVE OF RUKMINI FOR HIS BELOVED HUSBAND KRISHNA...

Vinati Suniye Naath Hamari

Hear my plea, oh Lord!

Hridayeshwar Hari Hriday Vihaari

King of my heart, my Lord, resident of my heart

Mor Mukut Pitambar Dhaari

Wearer of the peacock feather crown and yellow garments

Vinati Suniye...

Janam Janam Ki Lagi Lagan Hai

I've loved you birth after birth

Saakshi Taaron Bhara Gagan Hai!

The starry sky is my witness

Gin Gin Shwaas Aas Kehti Hai

With each breath, my hope tells me

Aayenge Shri KrishnaMurari

Shri Krishna will surely come

Vinati Suniye...

Satata Pratiksha, Apalak Lochan

Endlessly waiting, my eyes don't even blink

He Bhav-BaadhaVipati Vimochan

O remover of fear, obstacles, and difficulties

Swaagat Ka Adhikaar Dijiye

Give the right of welcoming you

Sharanaghat Hai Nayan Pujaari

To these devoted eyes in your refuge

Vinati Suniye...

Aur Kahoon Kya Antaryami

What else can I say, All-knowing One

Tan Man Dhan Praanon Ke Swami

Master of my body, mind, and wealth

Karuna Kar Aakar Ye Kahiye

Have compassion, come and tell me:

"Sweekari, Vinati Sweekari!"

"Your plea has been accepted!"

Vinati Suniye...

sri-rukmi?y uvaca

srutva gu?an bhuvana-sundara s??vata? te

nirvisya kar?a-vivarair harato 'nga-tapam

rupa? d?sa? d?simatam akhilartha-labha?

tvayy acyutavisati cittam apatrapa? me

O beauty of the worlds, having heard of Your qualities, which enter the ears of those who hear and remove their bodily distress, and having also heard of Your beauty, which fulfills all the visual desires of those who see, I have fixed my shameless mind upon You, O K???a.

-ka tva Mukunda mahati kula-sila-rupa-

vidya-vayo-dravi?a-dhamabhir atma-tulyam

dhira pati? kulavati na v??ita kanya

kale n?-si?ha nara-loka-mano-'bhiramam

O Mukunda, You are equal only to Yourself in lineage, character, beauty, knowledge, youthfulness, wealth and influence. O lion among men, You delight the minds of all mankind. What aristocratic, sober-minded and marriageable girl of a good family would not choose You as her husband when the proper time has come?

tan me bhavan khalu v?ta? patir anga jayam

atmarpitas ca bhavato 'tra vibho vidhehi

ma vira-bhagam abhimarsatu caidya arad

gomayu-van m?ga-pater balim ambujak?a

Therefore, my dear Lord, I have chosen You as my husband, and I surrender myself to You. Please come swiftly, O almighty one, and make me Your wife. My dear lotus-eyed Lord, let Sisupala never touch the hero's portion like a jackal stealing the property of a lion.

purte??a-datta-niyama-vrata-deva-vipra

gurv-arcanadibhir ala? bhagavan paresa?

aradhito yadi gadagraja etya pa?i?

g?h?atu me na damagho?a-sutadayo 'nye

If I have sufficiently worshiped the Supreme Personality of Godhead by pious works, sacrifices, charity, rituals and vows, and also by worshiping the demigods, brahma?as and gurus, then may gadagraja come and take my hand, and not damagho?a's son or anyone else.

svo bhavini tvam ajitodvahane vidarbhan

gupta? sametya p?tana-patibhi? parita?

nirmathya caidya-magadhendra-bala? prasahya

ma? rak?asena vidhinodvaha virya-sulkam

O unconquerable one, tomorrow when my marriage ceremony is about to begin, You should arrive unseen in Vidarbha and surround Yourself with the leaders of Your army. Then crush the forces of caidya and Magadhendra and marry me in the Rak?asa style, winning me with Your valor.

anta?-purantara-carim anihatya bandhun

tvam udvahe katham iti pravadamy upayam

purve-dyur asti mahati kula-deva-yatra

yasya? bahir nava-vadhur girijam upeyat

Since I will be staying within the inner chambers of the palace, You may wonder, "How can I carry you away without killing some of your relatives?" But I shall tell You a way: On the day before the marriage there is a grand procession to honor the royal family's deity, and in this procession the new bride goes outside the city to visit Goddess Girija.

Radhika- this is the original text from the Shirmad Bhagavatham Canto 0, Chapter 52 verses 38-41 the poem you have posted must have been a Bhajan from a more recent period.
