Shobhna's 'Gujju' fixation

Drama queen Falguni Parikh currently seen as Shobhna in Zee TV's Sanskaar Laxmi, is obsessed with her Gujarati rootswe hear! Being the only 'gujju born and bred' lady on the show, she feels that the other artistes (especially the ladies) unlike her are unable to add that hint of authenticity to their characters in the show owing their North Indian accents. At first, she got into a preachy mode and started teaching others how one should mouth their dialogues with a gujarati twang. Initially people took it in right spirit because they thought that she was trying to help them out. But now, sources claim that things have worsened as she is nasty with her co-actors and passes snide remarks on them if they don't get it right! Says an actor from the show on the basis of anonymity, "Initially we thought she was trying to be helpful...but now she is getting into our nerves! The subject of the matter of the show not only caters to Gujarati audience but to audiences all over India. Plus, the show is based in Mumbai where the families are fairly cosmopolitan. We don't understand her obsession with the Gujarati accent!"

Adds a source from the sets, "Her interfering nature totally spoils the atmosphere on the sets. Recently, the cast celebrated the completion of 50 episodes on the sets and it was a shock to spot Falguni ji hugging her co-stars and she was blatant to even cheekily remark to the media around that this is a rare occasion. As mostly, people steer clear of her totally."

Well we just hope after reading this piece Falguni just "lives... and lets live"
